De La Hoya has been getting so muck crap about him needing to retire, nobody wanting to see him fight (but you still do:patsch), and about him being shot or a has been. Mosley recently has too. I ask Why!????:huh

Reasons I seen; DLH is 2-3 in his last 5 fights, DLH is not serious about fighting, DLH is a shot/washed up/ has been fighter.

Well I understand that the average age for ESB members is 13 1/2 and the average IQ is 72, but I will do my best to explain to you why DLH is still a Top fighter at 154 or even 147 is he decides to drop down by comparing his resume to the other top fighters around those divisions.

DLH hasn't been as dominant because he takes on the best fighters all the time. He skips the Collazo's, the Estrada's, the bruseles and goes after the Top dogs.

In conclusion, DLH could be 7-0 had he had Cotto's, Mayweather's or Mosley's resume of their last 7 fights.

DLH's last 7 fights;

Mayweather-154- P4P#1 SD-(L)
Mayorga-WBC-154- Champ KO-6-(W) Easy fight
Hopkins-160-P4P#2 at the time- KO-9-(L) Closest fight Hopkins had had till date!
Sturm-WBO-160-Champ- UD-(W) Contraversial-Close fight
Mosley-154-UD-(L) Highly Contraversial-Also Mosley Roided
Campas-Tune up-KO-7-(W)
Vargas-WBA-154- Champ- P4P#5- KO-11-(W)

Cotto:

Mosley- W-UD-Close fight
Zab Judah-
Urkal-
Quintana- -
Malignaggi
Branco

Mayweather:

DLH-W-SD-Close fight
Baldomir-
Judah-
Mitchell-
Gatti-
Bruseles- -

Mosley:

Cotto-L-UD-Close fight
Collazo- eh. aight.
Vargas-TKO-6-Vargas a zombie
Vargas-TKO-10-Close fight-Vargas washed up
Cruz- yeah...sure
Estrada-uh..eh.okay

I still dont want Cotto to fight DLH because it does nothing for his resume. Just like it does nothing to Mayweather's resume. They just beat an old fighter who even at his best wasnt that great.

Plus, Cotto just beat the man that beat DLH twice. No need to take a backwards step in his career.

I got no problem with Oscar and Shane fighting on as long, I just hate it when you hear a guy like WInky Wright who just fought on very close terms wth hopkins at light heavyweight saying that he wants to fight the best...Oscar.

Oscar would be like a 4-1 underdog in that fight and everyone knows it.

Oscars resume is def more impressive. But Mosley, and Cotto's isnt slacking either.

Mayweathers is piss poor. Only 2 good fighters in a loong time. Oscar, and Judah.

And people need to give Judah more respect. He fights the BEST. He doesnt always come out on top, but atleast he fights them.

SD against the P4P#1 fighter of this decade. Mediocracy? No, boring, to some, but not mediocracy by any means.

If you don't understand that then you have alot of boxing to learn.:hi:

I don't have a problem with Oscar and Shane. They still seem in formidable shape.

They are boxing legends, so they have a carte blanche.

We complain about the best fighters not fighting each other, but when one does (DLH) and gains a few losses he gets highly criticized.:patsch

Yes my 'mediocracy' knows no bounds.

BTW, read the whole article. Youre missing the point. Noone doubts Oscars talent.

Well if that writer wants people to read his article he shouldn't start off with such ignorant comments.

Its hardly ignorant. Most people admit that it was a boring fight.

Boring does not mean mediocracy. It was two different styles that together didn't make for an exciting match, much like the PBF-Hatton fight will be. It doesn't mean it was mediocre. :patsch

I dont really have a problem with Oscar tbh. But people get annoyed because he can fight whoever the fuck he wants, because he will bring whoever that fuck is, whether its Mayweather, or Manny Pac, they will get their biggest by far payday.

Who's fault is that?:huh

Nobodys fault. Its just that however undeserving he is, Oscar could get a shot at Wlad Klit if he wanted to, because he brings money. So Oscar will continue to be inactive, and at the drop of a hat fight whoever he pleases. That is what pisses people off.

Then people shouldn't buy the fights shouldn't they. I guarantee that most of the PPV customers here at ESB bought the PBF-DLH fight.

Oscar is only what he is because he sells....he doesnt win against the best fighters anyway if Floyd's schedule so easy then he should have been in for a rude awakening against Oscar but yet he clearly won the fight in many eyes....his only good punch was a jab that he abandoned and cost him several rounds his flurries were laughable...is agression was not effective agression.

I dont see the problem if they want to fight let them fight as long as they can pass the medical. If you dont want to watch it dont buy it if you dont like the fighter dont read the story.

Exactly!

DLH and Mosley are both in the TOP 5 of their respective divisions, they have earned that spot and should fight and defend if they are champs as they please.

We love Mosley, we hate De la Hoya.

One min he says he hates Mayweather, the next he's holdinh hands with him and Hatton getting a cut on their talent cause he's too old, too crap and too past it. Irritating chump.

But I will love Mosley if he chooses to fight longer than foreman. It'#s not a question of age.

Who's "we".

You sound like a kid.

And you don't understand the business part of this extremely dangerous sport.
