I'm buying headgear online from ringside:

What size should I be looking at? I'm average build 6 ft 150 lbs.

There's small, medium, large, and xlarge.

You should be trying different sizes on at the boxing gym, assuming you go to one.

Having said that, I'd go with a Large since you're 6 ft. You can adjust it tighter if needed.

No I don't go to a gym. I started a boxing organization though, and we're going to start sparring soon. Thanks for the advice on the size though.:good

What does wet suede feel like?

Titan make good headgear?

Thats a good point. Sweaty suede wouldn't feel so hot.

The suede isn't a big deal, it actually helps keep the headgear from sliding around your face. I think some of the newer ones might have different kinds of lining. I have a pretty large skull. Not OJ simpson huge but still, a substantial dome. And Large fit me fine many years ago when I wore either Reyes Sparring or Title Boxing headgear.

Wouldn't the suede get all nasty after you sweat in it though?

I use fightgear. Great liner and outside material made to dry really quickly preventing a stinky gear.

You want to box and you're afraid of sweaty headgear? :patsch

Anyway, on a serious note; I'm about 6'4 and 160 or so and I wear Everlast competition headgear; medium size. And no, the suede dries out and doesn't even become a big deal, and it's easy to clean.

Alright cool thanks. The reason I'm worried about sweaty headgear is that there are going to be a lot of people using it. Anyway, I think I settled on the Title Full Face Platinum gear. It's a little more money, but it seems a lot better.
