Yup, its to be confirmed tomorrow. Andos activated a rematch clause, & McIntyre has said he will be happy to fight him again.

Anderson will lose again if it's at the same weight, how can he win when he will be weight drained??
I'm a fan of Anderson but hope this rematch doesn't happen too soon.
I know as fans we sometimes criticise boxers for not being active enough or taking easy fights but Anderson has fought 4 times this year already and has been in some tough contests - the guy needs a rest.
The fight against Jones was one of the best I've seen this year so we know what he is capable of.
Also wasn't there suggestions of a weight issue after the McIntyre loss?

I was down at getting my haircut yesterday and one of the barbers whose mates with McIntyre was saying he was speaking to him and he said he's going to be fighting Gary Young after garys meadowbank fight!!!!
Obviously not now then Dunk?

It was on the news earlier on, & they were talking to McIntyre who was in a primary school in his area giving a talk to the kids. I never quite caught wht he was saying as it caught me by surprise a bit as I wasnt expecting any boxing news & was in the middle of making something to eat!
Raman said the BBBC have just to sanction it tomorrow & its all systems go! Kev Mac said he hoped to get the fight in Paisley.

Thats the big question. I feel bad talking about it, as Ando is one of my favourite fighters, but McIntyre is also a fellow scotsman, & I want to see both of them do well. Watching both of them going at it again in a rematch saddens me somewhat as a scottish boxing fan if Im being honest. I feel I cant win.

Im glad to hear that you are a fan of Ando, he should have a following as hes almost always in exciting fights, & never ducks a challenge. & it takes balls to go right back in for a rematch with a guy that has just beaten you. But thats Ando, hes got the heart of a lion. I find it sad that its more or less just the scottish guys here who like Ando, as he deserves more credit than he gets.
However, its make or break time for Ando. If McIntyre beats him again, its hard to see where Ando goes from there. I think he needs a better trainer than Bob Shannon to be honest. Andos got the gift, it just seems Shannon cant bring out the best in him.

When i watched the last fight i couldn't understand how anderson looked so bad, having seen fights such as the young muttley and magee i thought he was going to do alot better. However the moment he got dropped by the skilled but feather fisted McIntyre i thought he was in for a rough night, if McIntyre had more pop in his punch's he would have stopped anderson quickly. I hope he can make more of a fight of it if not i think he needs to move upto 154 as he is obviously a decent boxer but making 147 and having some hard fights might have taken it's toll.

I certainly agree. McIntrye is an improving fighter, & since hes stepped up in weight he has had two impressive wins back to back, beating big welsh prospect Tony Doherty on his own patch & then dismantling Ando. you have to take your hat off to McIntrye, & he deserves nothing but credit for the way he has turned his career around. In fact, he reminds me of a scottish version of Colin Lynes not only the way he has turned his career around, but also style wise.
However, I still think Ando is special, & if his career gets handled right he could go onto still be a world champion. However, with Gilmour & Shannon running his career, im worrying. Why? Cos Ando after beating Mutley, magee & Jones should have been guided onto bigger & better things by now, but hes still fighting at british level? Ando needs a bigger promoter to take him to the next level, cos Gilmour has had him fighting at the same level for far too long & there is always the danger a fighter will come unstuck in that situation.
This rematch rests uneasily with me. Gilmour IMO ruined James Hares career by having him fight in tough domestic battles for far too long, & hes doing the same with Kevin Anderson.
In other words, I blame Tommy Gilmour if it all goes wrong for Ando.

I have only seen Ando fight once. That was when he fought Magee, Ando didnot do much in that fight but still won almost every round, and when Magee tried to unload Ando just stood his ground and went toe to toe with him and won every exchange. Ando showed he could take and give a good punch. He is the only boxer as a pro or amt to have put a count om Magee.
