How do you guys think this fight would play out?

It would be interesting to see Pea deal with Mosleys speed, strength, and output..

It would also be interesting to see Mosley deal with Peas jab, and head movement of course..Mosley had trouble with long, stiff jabs, Peas was strong, but i dont think it was long, and powerful enough to keep Mosley off for very long.. It could win him a couple rounds, but i cxouldnt see him controlling the fight with it..

At 147? I give the Pea (of the McGirt fights) the edge over Sugar Shane.

I was thinking, an exciting fight, maybe close, but clear that Pea wins it..

Mosley would be the fastest fighter Whitaker ever faced at welterweight. As quick as Whitaker was after moving to 147lbs, Mosley was even quicker with his hands.

Whitaker would not to be firing on all cylinders to pull out a decision over Mosley, thats for sure. The early welterweight Whitaker prime from around 1993-1994, not the version who nearly lost to Rivera and struggled with Hurtado. Whitaker's reflexes would need to be as sharp as a razor to deal with Mosley's scary handspeed.

Its a tough call, but I'd take Whitaker via close decision.

Moseley by decision. He might not land too much. But he'd "outbark" Whitaker/make the fight.Whitaker had a tendency to go defense crazy.

You don't seem to know too much about him. He had great defense yes, but he was not a defensive fighter like a Mayweather is now. He was an offensive fighter at LW, with great reflexes and defensive timing. Apart from power he was a near perfect boxer.

Anyways, Shane was a mid-range fighter at LW, and any weight, whereas Whitaker is all 3 ranges. Shane gets the better at mid-range, Whitaker at long range with the southpaw jab, and in close, as he is more savvy and skilled in there, despite being out-muscled likely. Would be a vewry entertaining fight, and Pea may taste canvas, but Mosley isn't outboxing him.

I suppose you think Chavez really drew with him.I'd bet I saw more Whitaker fights than you;also,my opinion on Whitaker is on the Whitaker vs.Benny Leonard thread.I said I thought Whitaker got robbed.I also said I thought Dela Hoya deserved the decision against Whitaker-and that's about how I think this one would go.Now,maybe if we were judges in the fight-you'd stick with Whitaker and I'd stick with Moseley based on who's style "do you think won."
