Joey Abell is just another talentless weak-chinned local hypejob, but he has some real power and Teke Oruh is an absolute joke. He has zero boxing ability, a glass chin, zero power, zero stamina, and his best skill is holding. During his last match he won a robbery decision against a D level fighter after suffering a knockdown in the first and holding nonstop for the rest of the rounds. He's just another "undefeated" fighter who is put up against other young fighters to make them look good. That's why he was originally supposed to fight Chris Arreola. He has the same promoter as him and beating an undefeated prospect would give him some more hype.

If you bet on boxing, this is an opportuity to make easy money because the sportsbooks don't know about Oruh, who has never fought on TV before. The odds opened up at even and now they're at -145 for Abell. The under rounds was close to even at first but now it's in the -200 range. Oruh will defiinitely get knocked out very fast.

20 year old Andre Ward 2004 Gold Medalist13-0 is coming up in the first fight at 168 vs 21 yr old Roger Cantrell 12-0:good

Hard to say, the other guy's record is pretty darn padded. Looks like a regional fighter to me. Is Oruh's chin THAT bad - and how do you guys know??

Ward needs to turn up the volume. He's more skilled and landing some of the better shots but allowing Cantrell to hang in there.

I would have picked Ward Wide UD, hard to say where its at yet.
Cantrell looks tough enough to go 10.

I'm not in the position to certify a Grade A China Chin like you, but I was in San Jose when Oruh won that robbery decision on the Toney undercard. He was hurt and dropped with a weak punch by a D level fighter that doesn't even have good power for that level. Also he fights scared, like Audley Harrison and he clinches out of panic.

:happy Ward turns it up and the ref calls it as Ward began to batter Cantrell with major shots.

Ward TKO 5

Wow, Cantrell looks like he's ready to go out.

Edit: Ref stops it! It was early but it was bound to happen anyways.

Able has a 1st rd TKO loss to a 3 and 0 fighter 8 fights ago the announcers said.

Maybe both have chin issues

Oruh looks like shit, lets see what happens, he's never been KO'd before:good

The Showtime guys are saying that if it goes late it benefits Oruh because of his boxing ability over Abell, who's a typical brawler. Oruh has horrible stamina though, so either way, he's screwed. He will get hit on the chin at some point (probably early too because he can't relax and has bad defense) and get knocked out.

I'm actually favoring Teke in this one, just because of the sparring he's done. His record is also slightly better.

Damn, why did Smoger have to ref this? I need a stoppage as early as possible.

Abell shouldn't be trying to outbox him, he just needs to throw wild punches and make Oruh panic! Come on!

Suprised at how relaxed Abell is. Expected more tough man type attitude, yet he's calm though not highly skilled.

I have money on under 9.5 and Abell, I'll win 75 if both work out and I'll be at even if 1 of the 2 do. I never bet this much on low level fighters but I saw a good oppotunity because Oruh is "undefeated" with a bad chin and is just a shitty fighter and bookmakers don't really know that. This round was looking better. KO1! :(

Yea, Teke didnt get KOed in round one, and round 3 just ended and I was falling asleep so I stopped watching. I say Abell takes it as well from what I have seen.

Abell is doing a bit better but I'm disappointed because I thought he was a brawler, which he is not in this match. I'm also worried about a robbery decision win for Oruh.

The right is starting to land a bit for Oruh. For Huki's sake I hope Abell wins a KO, but this has the pace of a 10 round decison.

Yeah, this is really not what I was expecting. I thought Abell would go in there and start brawling right away, but he's doing absolutely nothing. Oruh is not punching enough to get hum out of there either. At this point I'm just hoping someone quits.

Toney-Batchedler was quite possibly the worst fight I ever saw.

I didn't bother to score the Oruh fight, I was just enjoying watching two big heavyweights swing wildly.

Everything is going horribly in this boring ass HW sparring session. Abell looks completely unmotivated. I thought he was one of those midwestern badass types with 17KOs in 17 Ws who brawls, but here he's not.

Boy I wish arreola could have fought tonight:good

That conversation with his trainer in the corner was hilarious. I don't think they even want to win. Oruh is starting to look worse, but I'm worried about the judges favoring him anyways. Arreola would destroy Oruh in one. Hopefully if he wins, he will be set up with Arreola again and I will win my money back.

Wow, I really fucked this one up. That'll teach me not to but more than 20 bucks when you don't know anything about the way one of the fighters fights. I'm hoping Abell wins the decision but he doesn't deserve it. Oruh doesn't deserve it either though.. they both put up horrible performances and are shit fighters.

YES!

WOW! 98-92 Abell? You have to be an idiot to see it that wide. That was a close one, I got lucky and didn't lose anything on this borefest.

Abell is a joke. When he was in the corner and the trainer asked him if he wants to to win, he had a look on his face like "Okay.. maybe". HW fights at the low level are horrible unless they match two brawlers together. Abell should never be on TV again and same with Oruh. I hope they still put Oruh up against Arreola. When Arreola destroys him, he can gain hype from it because he stopped a guy easily who's never been stopped before (and has been up against a guy with 17KOs in 17 fights).

Abell sucks. He got lucky that he fought a guy with no clue how to box a SP. If Teke's corner had the brains to tell him to turn Joey to his left a bit then he would have been able to reach him a lot more with his right hand. Would have most likey ko'd him. Odd, the fighter that was supposed to be a featherfisted boxer comes forward all night and bust up the face of the clumsy brawler who ran the whole fight and left his opponent without a scratch.:rofl

Wow. I woulda sworn myself, based on their records, and what you reported on Oruh, that ONE of these guys would have hit the deck. One thing I would bet on though is that both these guys WILL get starched if and when they fight anybody decent.

Oruh would have been stopped if Abell just went at him and started throwing a lot of punches. Instead, he was moving backwards all night making Oruh increasingly comfortable and trying to score while doing almost nothing. "the fighter that was supposed to be a featherfisted boxer comes forward all night and bust up the face of the clumsy brawler who ran the whole fight and left his opponent without a scratch" sums it up pretty much, it looked like a bad sparring session where the guys are just working on what they need improvement on instead of doing what they're good at. They will both be KTFO soon. I don't think Abell will step up to a higher level than Oruh in a while though. He doesn't seem very inspired to take on challenges to say the least and he'll probably be knocking out bums for another year or two again.
