Overhyped/overrated or whatever: I'm gaining more and more respect for Manfredo.

The guy has gotten a ton of exposure because of the contender series but he does not sit on his laurels. I respect the amount of times he's been fighting lately. He may never be an ATG, a hall of famer or make anyone's P4P list, but he is doing boxing proud with his work ethic.

Yeahm Green - Manfredo will be a fairly evenly matched fight. Green will be more like Pemberton for Manfredo since Green would loose in a couple of rounds too to Calzaghe. On the other hand Green is not completely without chances and as long as he fights smart and from the outside he could win it. He should not let Manfredo get into a slugfight because then it's everyone's fight and Manfredo would probably be favoured in that case.

Too true. Too many guys who call themselves REAL FANS only seem to love World Champs or undefeated fighters and call the rest bums. Manfredo seems like a generally nice guy and works his butt off. Gotta respect that.

Manfredo is no world class fighter, but I have to have an immense amount of respect for him. He's a real fighter. Doesn't care about the opponent, money, location, date, ring size, glove size, etc.

He's has an old school mentality in the sense that he will fight often and anybody. I would have liked to see him pull off a win against Lacy, but he fought the wrong fight and was too tentative in the middle rounds. Ashame he was robbed against Mora in the second fight.

well.
he was unbeaten coming into the contender.

now the chances of winning the contender is low only 1 person can be unbeaten at the end. which was mora in 2 very dubious decisions.

now he comes out of it starts fighting at a good wieght at light middlewieght...then for absolutly no reaosn goes to super-middlewieght.

you can tell he aint a super middlewieght when you have spots of a 15 year old when your a boxer who has to train eat healthy and be in shape..while drinking tons of water it's almost impossible to get spots for a 26 year old.

anyways good boxer puncher not world class but he can mix with them.

Manfredo is a very tough bastard.. He has become a solid measure for top fighters to try to look great against.. He gave Lacy real trouble when Jeff got tired.. He could really be something if he continues down his current route.
