Kahn being very tall for a lightweight, and its not like he's narrow either. How long do you reckon it will be before he moves up to light-welter and eventually welter ?

Anyone know if he has trouble making weight or anything ?

I think if he's serious about winning world titles it would be easier at light-welter because Juan Diaz has 135 on lockdown and Pac moving up, where as 140 is as weak as its been.

Thoughts ?

I think he makes lightweight quite easy at the minute, never heard anything else really. They wont move him up anywhere near diaz level for a long while yet. Diaz will be at light welter by the time FW gives him a geniune title shot.

i don't think he'll outgrow the lightweight division until he hits 24 or later.

i don't think he'll outgrow the lightweight division until he hits 24 or later.I reckon he will "outgrow" lightweight when he gets KO'd. Then we will discover that he has been weight drained for ages, and that will be offered as an explaination for his lack of punch resistance.

Is he one of the tallest lightweights in boxing history? 5`10 yeah? Corrales was the same.

Or have there been (or are there now) any 6 footers at lightweight?

Hearns always looked massive for a welter at 6`1.

According to boxrec Jose Santa Cruz, Ray Narh, Rolando Reyes, Kazuyoshi Kumano and Josesito Lopez are all Lightweights(in boxrecs top 40) who are 5'10 .

Julio Diaz and Randy Suico are supposely 5'9 aswell so even though 5'10 may be very tall for a Lightweight it is not totally abnormal .

oh you old cynic :lol:Ok, what I meant to say was Khan will move up a weight when he has KO'd every top 10 lightweight in the world. Or when FW tells him to, whichever is the sooner.

LOL
i thought that i was all skin and bones
but these guys must be anoerexic!!

1.These are some of the fittest men on the planet .
2.they go into training camps which are just as much about cutting weight as sharpening their skills and getting in shape .
3.They often dehydrate lots of weight just before the weigh-in to make weight .

Outside of fights and training for fights I'd say most of these guys are over 150 at the least .

I think he doesnt hit the lgithweight limit as easy as we are all lead to believe ... didnt he actually have a fight at light-welter already ??

11 of his fights have been at the Light-Welterweight limit(usually with him weighing 136/137) but this is not unusual of Lightweights , infact many would weigh more than 140 in non title fights .

He's only been above 137 twice so he obviously has few problems with the weight .
