The Sept. 7 season finale of "Friday Night Fights" (ESPN2) will be a big show. It will be 2½ hours instead of two and headlined by Zab Judah, who is wasting no time returning from his memorable 11th-round TKO loss to Miguel Cotto on June 9 in the possible fight of the year. The tripleheader from the DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven, Miss., a few minutes outside of Memphis, Tenn., also will include a pair of rising prospects, brothers Anthony and Lamont Peterson, who have been ESPN2 mainstays during their rise up the ladder. Opponents aren't set.

At least Zab is trying to stay active and not just disappear for a 1 1/2 years while doing nothing and still want a title shot....Zab could still be a champ if the right opportunity presents itself.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see Zab get a shot at Malinaggi soon enough.

not without a few bounceback fringe contender stepping stones, anyway. i'd say he needs at least two or three top-thirty scalps to salve the sting of a four-fight winless skid and return to legitimate contention.

Judah showed serious balls against Cotto. I give him credit, and I'm not a fan of his. I agree with the guy that said he could still win a title at 140, if the Cotto beating hasn't taken too much out of him.

I agree, his best chance stands there. He has a chance to be a champion again.
