No contest huh:hey

That was terribly dissapointing after i was looking forward to it for a few weeks.

Dirrell should not fight on TV ever again and Stevens is still very RAW.

Stevens is still only 22 he has time to get better.

He won't beat Marquez. Even if the fight was 4 years ago Barrera would have been beaten.

Marquez and Barrera are brilliant boxers, but Marquez is better.

I have to say that he's bounced back every time he lost and came back even stronger, so it wouldn't really surprise me, although this time, I think he will be KO'd by Pacman and retire.

He is an ATG in my book but he will get stretched again by Pacman, probably even worse than the 1st time.

What have we seen that suggests Barera can win a rematch with Pac? Has MAB got that much better because Pac for sure hasnt got any worse.

Style wise I think Pac is all wrong for Barrera i can only see another loss for him.

He is still a true ATG though.

If he beat both Pac-Man and JMM he still wouldn't be among the all-time best, because of how those two dominated him the first time.

Why not? Pacquiao dominated him, but Marquez was a close fight that rightfully went to JMM.

The fact that if he beat them in impressive fashion after being beaten by both would be even better.

This fight, I think, is a couple years late. How can Barerra have the stamina to withstand the onslaught that Pacquiao dishes out through the entirety of a fight?

Again, this is all hypothetical, because Barrera is in the back-end of his career, Pacquiao is just entering his prime and Marquez is at his prime ... But for argument's sake, just say he beats both, that puts him at 1-1 with both, he'd actually have to beat them twice for me to consider him among the best.

Good points

Anyways, I don't think he would beat Marquez or Pacquiao

He went even with two great fighters in there prime when he was past his best.

Marquez clearly beat Barrera in my opinion. He never dominated him. He did beat him though, no question about it.

Exactly Robbi.......the degree of domination from a purely tecnhical standpoint was'nt as great as it could have been because JMM and team knew from the get go that Marquez had to put a hurt on MAB or the chances of the judges siding with the name MAB would be great.

The fight was competitive, but the judges wide scores certainly reflected the scenario that unfolded between JMM and MAB.

It's as plain as day that MAB could not keep up with JMM's energy level down the stretch of the fight.....as the rounds wore on, MAB was getting tagged harder and cleaner.

PAC who is in the prime of his physical abilities, is going to bring an even more high pace to the fight than JMM.

MAB likely will get stopped mid to late rounds, and fatigue will probably play a huge part.

MAB is getting older, not younger, he's just not going to be able to match the energy level......it happens to all the greats unfortunately!

I scored it 116-112 for Marquez over Barrera. I also thought Marquez beat Pacquaio. He handled Pacquaio pretty easily after the 2nd round. He was so much more accurate and outboxed Pacquaio.
