Why would you mind Barrera's retirement? Why not give the people the fight they want?

The fight people want more is a rematch between MAB and Manny ..After that we can get Manny vs Marquez .There is more money with Barrera than with Marquez .
Because MAB will retire if GBP wont give him PAC... that's probaly one of the biggest reasons besides the money thing. JMM is next i'm pretty sure of that.

try going to PAC's website, almost 60% want JMM to be the next, out of almost 20,000 votes!

Thats odd but does it matter we will get both fights soon enough now that Top Rank and GBP have made peace ..But next time try to get the responses from Manny he has stated after he beat Larios on several occasions he wants Barrera !

well i just hope, JMM does not lose his belt, that's the only thing lacking in MP's achievements right now...
Even if PAC wants JMM GBP will still give him MAB since thats his request or he will retire, too much money will be lost if they wont give MAB this fight. I'm sure JMM will be next since both promoters have settled their issues...

Manny can get careless most of the time because of his advisers, and in one occassion, he was even saying he does not care about the belt, but I think its time for him to be one of the greatest super featherweights ever. In my case, I'd still go for the belt, and then the money after, before he fades away, all great boxers do right?

I got your point about the belt but a PAC-MAB rematch could be the biggest payday for the both of them.

I personally think it's to put off Marquez for a little longer to prepare. Marquez is obviously very talented, perhaps more than Barrera at this point since Barrera is past his prime. Plus with MAB there's more money to be made.

i think MAB vs PAC = more $$$$$ simple as that.... IMO they think that JMM can wait a little longer while MAB can't.

First of all, MAB supposedly was the next fight for PAc right after the third EM fight.
But then we knew what happened. MAB was forced to defend his title against JMM, etc.
Don't worry, the JMM rematch will eventually happen.. no need to rush things, baby..:yep

Pacquiao should fight MAB now, Marco is already on the verge of hanging gloves but he needs to prove something between him and Pac before losing what is still left in his tank. I don't take anything out on Barrera, could be his last tough fight, but who knows he might win before he retires.

Pac vs JMM need more hype. MAB-JMM Draws 8,000 & 225K PPV. It just means JMM name is not that Big yet. A spectacular win against Barrios will help Hype the fight.
This is the same as the Hearns vs Leonard. They could've fought earlier but the Promoter Hang a little & built up the fight to a Mega Promotion.

pac vs. barrera = money for both and redemption for barrera
pac vs. marquez = less money for pac, more money for marquez and legacy for both fighters
so the main reasons are money and mab's pride.

I'm not so sure about that, I'd much prefer JMM vs Pac II.
Barrera got beat up badly in their first encounter whereas JMM vs Pac was a close fight that still gets discussed to this day.

Actually Pac is poised to make a lot of Money on the JMM rematch, just Build the Hype.
Here's how they should do it:
JMM beat Barrios Sept 07
Pac Beat MAB Oct 07
Guzman beat Soto Oct o7
JMM schools Valero in Japan Dec 07
Pac beat Guzman Jan 08
Then make the Unification Bout on May 08
Pac vs JMM 2
If both make it here & wins spectacularly, this will be the biggest fight ever at these weight Class.
