Simpson added to arthur bill

British featherweight Champion John Simpson has now been added to the Alex Arthur-Steve Foster Jr fight on 15th Dec.

Will be a non-title 8 rounder against an unknown opponent as yet. The fight is to be a warm-up bout before John makes his 3rd defence of his lonsdale belt or possibly a shot at the european title.

Yeah that was the guy who fought or more like was robbed against ''dirty'' derry matthews.

Simpson was robbed against Matthews. Why Matthews wasn't disqualified during that fight is beyond me. Some very poor judging also.

He was brilliant against Morris a couple of months ago. Such a gutsy fighter - doesn't always get the credit he deserves and is often underrated.

Really hope he gets a shot at the European Title next year - would love to see him succeed.

Not yet but i should find out nearer the time. i havent had time to catch up with John yet but as soon as i know the opponent il be sure to let everyone know.

Has been confirmed John will fight Youssef Al Hamidi(3-5-1 1 KO) next Saturday.

Havent seen him fight but he has recently fought Ricky Burns losing on points over 6 rounds and being stopped in 3 by Michael Gomez in his 2nd comeback fight.

I take it by his record hes not Johns level but anyone know what hes like?

Think he troubled Gomez a little.... Still think Simpson is Euro class now so he should be far too strong for guys at this level.

Yeah i spoke to stegsie, he was ringside that night, he said he gave gomez a bit of trouble but reckon john will stop him maybe 3rd or 4th.
