Seems like a good name on Alexanders reume but a plucky E.H. will not make it an easy fight, Thoughts

It would be an interesting fight. Povetkin is the future of the division but holy is still a risky fight. I wouldn't want Povetkin to fight Holyfield because he would be head-butted so often. Alex has a lot of poise but constantly being butted can take a fighter right out of his game. I'd take Povetkin for the Unanimous Decision but I would be uneasy while watching.

Holyfield will demand too much money. It won't happen.

Povetkin UD12 Holyfield in a dangerous, competitive fight...if this were Holy in his prime, Holy by KO

I would like to see it has an eliminator down the line on one or the others first defence. Holyfield is looking great and is a great guy while Povetkin is apparently garlic bread.

Povetkin pummels Holyfield and stops him late.
I am a big time fan of Holyfield but beating Maddalone, Bates, and an old shot Savarhese who wasn't even that good at his best doesnt make you an elite fighter. The Oquendo win was his best but Oquendo wasnt at his best either.
If they were in their primes, Holyfield takes it.

good fight for an eliminator, I can see Povetkin stopping old Holyfiend in mid-rounds

Useless fight. Povetkin just dominated the fighter that completely outboxed Holy just few fights ago. I don't see a point in this fight at all.

Povetkin would savage the 2007 version of Holy. His style at his age is perfect for Povetkin. He'd be right there to be hit and doesn't have the power to keep Povetkin off him. Holyfield would be damaged even further.
But no worries, this fight will never happen.

I think you are right it won't happen. Holyfield is Povetkin's idol and he will have to much respect to demolish him.

Holyfield beat the dangerous Jeremy the beast Bates then beat inactive super fast Fres Oquendo and now beat a youngster, heavyhanded Lou Savarese, very impressive.
Povetkin by dominant 6th round KO

Exciting fight.. I don't think Povetkin wins it right now, but in a year he is well capable of such a win..

He just won a shoutout over a man who won a shoutout over Holyfield not so long ago.

i would not like to see this - would be a remake of ali v berbick and sad to see.
holyfield has done enough to have hand picked opponents at his age as did george formean at the end of his career.

I truly cant even fathom how people actually think Holyfield would have more then a snowballs chance in hell of winning vs Povetkin.
The logic behind the idea completely escapes me.

Holyfield is dumb enough to try and trade with Povetkin. Alexander by mid rounds stoppage. The Holyfield comeback dream ends.

Isn't it a little early to say what a prime Holyfield could or couldn't do against him when we don't know if Povetkin's even hit his prime yet :nut

Povetkin should take on a top 10 guy who's not over 40.
I love Povetkin and he's gonna clean up this heavyweight mess over the next few years without a doubt in my mind.
