when i get hurt my face changes, or i start trading you could tell i am hurt, when cotto got outbutted by urkal and uppercutted by mosley he didn't change his facial expression once, its amazing!
Because he's on a mission! Seriously, I have no idea. I can keep my face in check pretty well myself. Unless it's a liver shot because they make me look like I'm taking a dump.

Experience. That and mentality. But sometimes you consciously have to think to keep your game face on; but it's an important skill.

its all mental.
you must never show that you are hurt,if you do,you are lost. doing this, you just show your opponet how weak you are.
the most dangerous fighter is the one who always remains cool, even after got hit the hardest punches.
its like chess, never show what you are up to

That is composure and it is reflective of his character. When he stays calm after being hurt that is just the calm before the storm because he always come back with some heavy fire.
Boxing is indictive of ones character - are they hard working, how they handle pressure, are they calm, are they a bully, can they handle many situations etc
Cotto is cool, calm, composed but has that fire in him. He's like a cold killer.
For many, the way Cotto reacts is experience BUT Cotto has been this way since the beginning. He is one of those fighters who has always looked a bit ahead of his time. He knows this, hell he was married with numerous kids when he was quite young. He grew up quick, in and out of the ring.

cotto stays calm because he knows he can always rely on a low blow yo get him out of trouble.
but can you train to stay calm even when you are hurt??
or does it just comes with experience?

Some naturally have it, some develop it with experience, some have it and it gets better with experience and some just get lost no matter what...
