i still have my hopes tied on this fight happening this fall but we never know with ****** and palle do we?

It seems like quite a mess. Both parties have apparently agreed to fight. However they've agreed to fight for an amount of money that doesn't appear to be there. :patsch :lol:

They were looking for $5million or whatever out of HBO and they've only been offered $3million. So it could come down to whether either party wants the fight enough that they'll do it for whatever it's worth.

The other options are certainly slim at the moment. There's no fight that could readily be made which could make the type of money they're looking for.

It depends what counts as a "good name". But we're only half way into 2007 after all. So I don't think either guy will panic about that. They may panic about not getting the big money they possibly expected however.

Kessler could go to Germany an beat up guys like Inkin and Braehmer. These fights would earn him some good and easy money. While he does this Mads Larsen will have more fights and a Danish superfight in Parken would be a sure moneymaker.

Calzaghe could wait for the Taylor vs. Pavlik winner and have a fight while waiting against fx. Mundine, Bute or Froch. Another possibility is moving up and fighting Clinton Woods.

Kessler vs Mundine II (Mundine is regular WBA champ and thereby mandatory to Kessler)

Calzaghe vs Inkin or Froch (Top ranked by WBO but when has WBO really looked at the rankings?)
