Uh...what? Your build rarely has a lot to do with it. Look at Alexander Povetkin. Phenomenal boxer, and no one would guess it. Maybe a build type would work more in wrestling, in my experience though, boxing comes down a lot more to skill and other attributes, not how you're built.

Ok. For a heavyweight you want usually to be above 6'2 or so these days, around the 220 mark at minimum, and have a decent reach.
Consider the fact that this guy is the hottest prospect/contender in the heavyweight division, and then you'll see why how you look is secondary to what skills you have.

not fat and outta shape like now-a-days. most boxers in our heavyweight division right now think that the more they weigh the better they will be. meaning they'll eat unhealthy, not train hard for stamina. they all r looking for power for a one hit knockout. that's y most of em look like they're fat n outta shape, cus they r and they have little skill.

there is no such thing as a 'best build' you are what you are and you should work to the best of your bodies abilities.

if i had to wake up one day as a HW it would be...
best HW build (body proportions) = lennox lewis
best HW physique (muscle definition) = ken norton
:)

I agree. If I ever filled out to Heavyweight, something like Lennox's build would be ideal (given, with my height, it's possible I could fill out to heavyweight, but never to the size Lennox had).

I believe this site is more to your liking:

450, btw, is insane. Your knees and other limbs would never be able to take that kind of weight transfer, you'd have no technique really as it would be extremely hard to be on the balls of your feet or pivoting with that kind of body weight. Not to mention you'd be slow as all get out. Nikolai Valuev is 320 pounds and he has knee issues, and he's considered amazingly athletic given his size (approximately 7' and 320). And note that he just lost to Ruslan Chagaev, who I believe is only like 6'3 and 230.

These days, probably in the 230-245 range, depending on height. Wladimir Klitschko is 6'7 or so and 240 pretty regularly, and he's extremely well conditioned and strong. But he's never been a guy who uses physical strength per se, he's typically been pretty awful on the inside, he uses his skills to keep smaller men away from him.

no such thing, really. it's all relative to one's fighting style and natural attributes.
but i'm assuming that you're looking for some sort of RPG videogame style statistics. so i'll give it a try. as far as TODAY'S hw pool is concerned, i'd go with:
6'4"
low-mid 230's
82" + reach
broad shoulders like lennox lewis
strong base like a ruddock or iron mike
good, natural size. not too small, and not too muscled up and bulky. good combination of power, speed, and the big frame means a great amount of functional strength to push guys around the ring. not too tall to be clumsy, awkward, and not limited to only boxing on the outside.
guys for reference:
lennox lewis @ 230's-low 240's
ike ibeabuchi during his fight against david tua (when he weighed like 235)
andrei arlovski when he first fought tim sylvia
wlad if he didn't have chicken legs

Mike Tyson. Anyone before really the 90's would be considered small today, a lot of the top guys I think. The 90's started the era of the Super Heavyweight.

I would want to have a build like Ali's. He was 6 ft 3 and weight about 210lbs, I'm estimated to stop growing at 6 ft 2 and will probably aim for around 220lbs, I don't think I could fight Ali style as the guys are a lot taller in the heavyweight division nowadays.

Not being too muscly, but have good muscle tone, around 6' 1", naturally a mesomorph, mentally strong.
