I think that was when he was upset after getting what he saw as very little credit for beating Baldomir.

Of course, the fact he spent the fight build-up decribing at great length how Baldomir was sluggish, unskilled, clumsy, a lucky bum that didn't deserve to fight him and only got the chance due to PBF's huge generosity...

...might have had something to do with it.

Make your opponent out to be crap, and don't hold your breath waiting for plaudits afterwards.

I think he was very hurt when Larry said that his performance against Baldomir was not as entertaining as his Ring entrances with gladiator costumes and exotic soundtracks and people like Tiger Woods n Winky Wright were leaving the place at round 11. That was when he announced he would retire for that reason and it was quite honest n sincere at that moment, I felt... The guy is clearly disturbed with bipolar, schizo symptoms ( bovarism after Flaubert's Madame Bovary - thinks he's someone else like Ray Robinson or Muhammad Ali) and many other affective disturbances so I don't take anything he says or does for serious... That situation has to be clearly distinguished from Tito's breakdown at the Vargas' post-fight presser, after a life and death struggle against the mexican - Mayweather had no apparent reason to get emotional after the Baldomir snore-fest if he's not a mind case and gets so damaged inside based solely on public opinion.

Do you have proof that they were going to offer PBF more than 8 mil? Didn't think so. PBF was offered the same amount of money to fight The Lineal Champion Baldy and that's exactly what he did. He beat the man, thus making him the man.
When G Leon asked Goosen about the supposed 8 mil to fight Baldy . . .Goosen refused to answer the question straight up.Fact is Fraud would have gotten pretty much the same money facing Baldy or Margarito . . .and fact is he would have been able to sign the DLH fight as a free agent. EVen if Goossen got half the usual percentage from the DLH fight it was still pretty penny to pay to avoid Margarito.Face the facts, Fraud is a coward. Not just for ducking AM but for calling out WInky only to run when Winky says he can make 154 to fight him.
