According to Turkish Media that Sinan Samil Sam is going to talk with his promoter,Ahmet Oner about his future. He thinks about retirement from boxing after beating by Oliver McCall in WBC İnt Tittle fight. But this is not definite decision.Last decision will be given after their meetings.
He spent all his credits for world championship. If he wants rematch with McCall,he must fight 2-3 fights before it.İn McCall fight ,I do not think that he was bad but he was unlukcy for his eye problem. He is not interested boxing enough ,in my opinion. And,if he does not resume his career. He has a few horses and he spends a lots of tmis in horse races so this may be cause economic prpblems in future. So , he must decide with good ideas.

Sinan Samil Sam's future

Bleak. He was out of shape against McCall, and I've never really seen the guy in real good shape. It's his fault he squandered his career by not training seriously. He's destined to be a trial horse.

Future?? i like the guy, but i just dont see one. he had the opportunity laid out for him vs a 42 year old, and he blew. i just doesnt get any worse than that.

You think that Povetkin will beat SSS. Povetkin is still young my friend, read little bit SSS amateur carear , he won everythink, just olimpics medal dont have the others all have, same like Povetkin, dont ignore him. Povetkin is still young for SSS. Sinan Samil Sam is second Chuvallo. He will fight once again, he is good guy and will train harder for next bouts, he can give more in boxing, he is just 33.

I doubt he really has got anything of a future left. He s not been a bad fighter, in fact often has been a joy to watch cos he got involved in quite a few grueling trench war matches, but that must have sucked out a lot of him. He should retire.

If he continues ,Virchis-Sam fight should be good.Because, Virchis is EBU Champion ,currently and He has good ratings in WBC rankings so If he wins over Virchis, It may be last chance for Sam.

Sam imo is taylormade for Virchis in that heŽs slow, plodding and predictable. HeŽd likely get the beating of his life.

I thought his outings against Williams and Krasniqi were rather excellent, to be honest, in fact I felt he deserved the nod vs the Albanian. But he s past it now

Sinan Vs Povetkin will not be good for Sam in next a few month's.Becasue Sinan is not ready for this action about his mental.I agree you,His morale is not okay .I think for him that ,If he continues his career; He must back to European Action than if he reaches to EBU tittle Challenger,he will qualify for Contender's action like Luan what he did agaisnt (Saleta (second fight)-Sinan Samil Sam -Whitaker fights than Brewster fight.)Winning against Virchis means Sinan has both of EBU title and high ranking in rankings)I will give Sinan for two months lay-off.Than he may be face with a journeyman or If he is in good shape and mental,He will face Virchis directly.

Sams future?

One Word:

"retirement"

Sorry to say, but the "Bull" never had a good fight in a title shot. He should quit boxing.
Partially agreed, based on the recent fight he has had especially the last one i should say retirement for him, but judging from his age i would say that he might be a good adversary for the younger fighters for confidence build up. no Ofence to SSS but looks like he isnt giving his 101 %.

Virchis would murder him.I would bet my house on a ko victory for Virchis.
Sinan Samil Sam is Virchis' dream opponent:slow, predictable, sloppy defence,one-dimensional,relatively small,a stationary target for Virchis ' powerful shots.

Sam has a decent chin, but Polish journeyman Bugaj almost took him out in their encounter some years ago.

Anyway! I dont think that Sam's matchmaker is that clueless to match Sam with Virchis.

he should stay retired as long as he doesnt like boxing...

He should retire. His performance of his last 3-4 matches were just pathetic against mediocre opponents (Mirovic, Montana, Arias), so we should have seen this coming. He hasn't got a boxers mentality anymore and doesn't want to give his all for the sport, so this outcome was expected.

He should just retire as his only achievements could be successes in european belts, but that's nothing he should be looking for from now on.
