Hatton isn't that huge in the uk there's very much a north south divide here 33,000 is just people from manchester.
If you asked 1000 Londoners who Ricky Hatton was i think about only 40% would know or be aware of the fight coming up.
Boxing isn't that huge here thanks mainly to the state of it with everything going PPV Boxing comes way down on the list of sports

If you don't allow yourself to be hit in the face and are effective at that, you are a runner. OH please. This coming from a guy that walks around as a light heavyweight when hes not training. He shrinks himself down to fight at 140 where he is bigger and stronger then the majority of fighters. Floyd walks around at welterweight weight. Plus if Hatton was a good boxer he would be moving more but hes not.. He's a brawler so that's his game. Floyd has great boxing skills so why should he stand in front of people and just let them hit him? :huh

I honestly don't know what's better for the sport and fans - Hatton winning or Floyd winning. Yes, Floyd backpedals sometimes, but it's easy for even a casual fan to see his defensive mastery. Hatton on the other hand does often initiate grabs, and even if he doesn't, it's much harder for the casual fan to appreciate inside fighting where you can't really see the punches. Honestly, I'm not sure that Hatton's style is much more fan-friendly than Mayweather's. Hatton's much more personable, however.
