Finally. Great news. :good
I may just head to Vegas for this fight. :D
I just wish they would put the Rafa Marquez vs Israel Vazquez III in the undercard for a complete exciting menu.

Sure he will. He couldn't even KO barrera who was only a shell of his former self.
The same shell that lost to Pacman almost every single round had quite a competitive fight with JMM.

Berrera tried to fight JMM.
All he did with Pac is try to go 12 rounds.
Sure he will. He couldn't even KO barrera who was only a shell of his former self.
yeah and fought Barerra coming off a loss to JMM.

Styles my friend, styles..
Sure, styles. But again, no matter how you twist it, the shell of MAB had a competitive fight with JMM while survived against PAC.

Can't comment on the fight as I have only seen JMM beat barrera and i have never see pac fight. If I picked JMM it is purely from how he gave a counter punch master class against barrea.

Maybe because he was willing to engage with Marquez but not against Pacman? barrera showed up for a paycheck and didn't have no intentions of winning the fight.
black, start building a bunker because after the fight, pac fans will ass rape you   that is, if you know what i mean ;) your last hope against pac is about to get a proper burial :yep

You should watch their first fight on you tube. Pacquiao almost takes out Marquez but he then comes back in one of the greatest comebacks ever to put on a boxing lesson on the puncher and more than even the score. Pretty good fight to watch.

That is the whole point that if the shell of MAB had engaged with PAC like he did with JMM, he would have been KTFO like the first time, most likely earlier in the fight.
P.S
MAB was one of my fav. fighters, especially after brutalizing Naseem.

That was an impressive win, but that was then, and this is now....
Pacman should be at the peak of his prime but he didn't look like it against Barrera rematch. Now this has alot to do with barrera unwilling to exchange so everything can't be blamed on pac, but they are both at fault... When Barrera shyed away, why didn't pac take the inititative and just run him down? Barrera backed away and pacman allowed it.. He could have been the one to take control and take the fight to barrera but he didn't. He was just as reluctant as barrera...
He can't KO marquez.
But we all know that he can multpile KD him though, which a lot of the times brings to a Tko.

He did in the first round of the first fight, but never did he land another left hand from 2-12... Marquez was caught off guard by pacman's unorthodox attacks/speed which is what caused the 2 KD but after round 2, he figured out pacman's pattern and layed out the blueprint... Excluding the first round, did you see marquez coming close to even being in trouble?? What makes you think Pacman can repeat the first round in their rematch???
Black cmon check out the 10th and the 12 rounds which PAC clearly won and landed with teh left...It didnt hurt JMM but he landed alot especially the 12th..its in U tube
2007 has been great and 2008 is already off to a great start with
Taylor-Pavlik II, Marquez-Vasquez III, and Pacquiao-Marquez II already on tap for the first quarter!

Damn, you are like a little kid. So, JMM cannot be cuught off guard by Pacman power/speed again, ah?
Besides the first rd that was totally dominated by PAC (3 KD's) and should have been 10-6(let's not even go there), most of other rounds were close and could have gone either way in which PAC did land the left hand, however, not with the same effect as in the 1st rd.

Most likely not. He'll take some hits but i doubt he'll get knocked down numerous times.. He never got hurt nor knocked down after the first round so what makes you think the rematch will be any different?
Rounds 4,5 and 6 were dominated by Marquez. THEy weren't close.
Im being real so that makes me a little kid?
First of all, he was for sure caught off guard by Chris Jonh afterwards, if memory serves me right. Wasn't he the clear favorite in that fight?
Second of all, I never said anything about the outcome of the rematch, as I think it will be quite competitive. I am leaning towards PAC as he is my current fav fighter.
Finally, none of the rounds in their first fight were dominated by JMM. Some of them he had had the edge. Unless, we have a different understanding of a term domination.
