It seems people think that Hatton is relatively "exciting all out" fighter in comparison to Mayweather; however personally due to his constant clinching it makes his fights are just plain hard to watch. Granted it works for him, but he holds and wrestles for the majority of his fights and people think Floyd's a runner, well then Hatton is a wreslter.

Floyd better hope he doesnt lose to Hatton then. It would be quite embarrasing to lose your titles and your pfp#1 status to a "wrestler"
I'm just saying that if you want to hold onto your opponent in the clinch it shouldn't be onbe of the main attributes of your fights. He's a boxer not a Muay Thai fighter, he just amazing people are somehow under the delussion that he's a fucking lighting storm of excitment, the reality is far from it.

I would say Floyd's forearm smashes are straight out of the WWF.

Yeh im a massive hatton fan but i can see where your coming from. He does go on about excitment a little bit too much. Dont get me wrong i still love his fights and the way he fights but i kinda see your point. Iv got no problem with it as long as it works for him and he dont get a bollocking by the referee the same as i dont have a problem with pbf running away. All jokes aside both are tatics that are apart of boxing now.

Im not a fan of holding or running, but i'd rather see Hatton make it an inside fight with the occasional clinch as long as he's trying to hurt/take his opponent out, as oppose to watching Floyd pot-shot and dance his way to boring points victory.
Thats exactly what i want to see to , but also you cant blame either fighter for employing tatics that work for them even if they arnt crowd pleasing.

It definitelly is a very effective tactic, but I do agree, it doesnt excite me watching him do it.

You guys don't really understand his style. He's not HUGGING, he simply puts pressure on his opponents by pushing them back, tieing them up a little, and creating openings for body shots and other punches. It's not like he's just hugging the opponent for 12 rounds and getting a decision. Look at all of his knockout victories, or the amount of punches he throws. He's a very active, super aggressive fighter and personally, I love his style. Sure, he holds a bit, but that's because he's smart. He's a clever fighter. And shit, I'd take Hatton's "hugging" over Mayweather running around the ring any day.

I agree with you lol but i can also see where others are coming from it must be difficult to watch if your not a fan. I can see both sides of it really. 1 it can make a dull fight but 2 like you said its smart and if you watch carefully its very skillfull.

The contrast in fighting style aside from the HYPES is what's making this fight really interesting, people are intrigue and very much curious how it's gonna turn out.
So let's wait and see.
