In the heavyweight division anything is possible, but Andrew Golota is no Lou Savarese.

Evander will make Golota quit again, no doubt in my mind, Holyfield is starting to win me over again, sure he hasnt been in there with the very best but the guys he has been in there with, he has delt with the way an elite HW should deal with those kind of fighters.

Holy on cuts, or either guy by DQ. Only logical outcomes.

Get the fuck outta here? Evander will make Golota QUIT?
:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl
Golota got robbed against both Byrd and Ruiz--two guys who both made Holyfield look like complete and total dog shit.
Expect Golota to also make Holyfield look like dog shit.
Golota batters him from pillar to post.

Golota quit against Tyson and Grant or did you forget that? I also felt that Golota beat Byrd sure, but Byrd dont hit like Holyfield and yeah he did pretty good against Ruiz, but that is a guy who holds you lets see what happens when he is in the eye of a fire storm with Evander he will quit again, just as he did with Tyson just as he did with Grant.

No, I didn't. Those fights were both before Golota cameback after reaching his mental prime. Besides, Holyfield isn't NEARLY as powerful as Grant or Tyson.

You act as if Evander has anything in common with Tyson or Grant. You also neglect the fact that not only is Golota now in his mental prime, but he's just entering his spiritual prime as well.
Holyfield stands NO CHANCE against Golota....I understand the irony of saying someone doesn't stand a chance against Golota, but Holyfield doesn't.
It would be a brutal massacre.
If Lou was able to land some jabs and nice combos against Holyfield, Golota will kill him.

At this point in their careers they both are pretty equal. I say it would end in double DQ. Golota repeatedly hits Holy low and Holy keeps headbutting Golota.

Ive always thought that Golota had the ability to beat Holyfield, and that if they fought now, he'd still do so.
Golota was terrified of Tyson and Lewis, I just dont see that being the case with Holyfield.
I think Golota beats him widely on points.

I concur. As a longtime Golota fan, I had always hoped Golota would get a crack at Holyfield, as early as 1996.

Many are starting to jump back on the grandpa Holyfield wagon due to some recent wins. I didn't see the fight but I heard he did a pretty good job against human punching bag Lou Savarese, and I also understand Savarese hurt Holyfield on a couple of occasions. As another poster pointed out, Golota is NO Lou Savaese. I like Lou, but he's always been little more than a decent club fighter with very limited skills and has always been very slow. Golota on the other hand has always been an A-Class skilled boxer with a virtual impeccable amateur record. Look for Golota to outclass Holyfield much like Larry Donald did, only with much heavier, hurtful shots. Golota can box inside or outside, he's a terrific inside fighter and even for his age, throws good inside combinations.

A TKO win for Golota is not out of the question. After all James 'Roids' Toney was able to get Holy out of there, and Toney's punching power does not even compare to Golota's. In fact I heard Golota put loud mouth Toney on his ass during sparring. Joecool does not lie.

Nope. Joecool tells it like it is.
On another note, I saw Holyfield-Savarese...
Having seen it, I'm convinced Golota wins in dominant fashion.

Honestly, he's not even close to as good as he was in '96. A bad car accident ruined his once great jab just a few years after the Bowe fights. But he's shown that even at his age he's definitely still a player in the division. He arguably beat both Ruiz and Byrd for their belts. He definitely has enough to beat Holyfield, this I'll wager on.

you all are just as lost as Andrew himself, Golota does not like a man who will pressure him he folds look at his fights with Tyson Lewis and Brewster Holyfield will pressure him and make him quit seriously.
Golota though was good back in his day he does have mental issues and they will show up against Evander, to me the moment itself is something Golota has never been able to handle.
Sure against a light hitting Byrd and a hugging Ruiz he did okay, but he still lost those fights, and was starched by Brewster Holyfield will break him down inside of six rounds.

golota has what it takes to beat holyfield but holyfield coming forward all the time and not giving up would frustrate golota and something crazy will happen.

Lets wait with these predictions when Golota and Holyfield have titles
then it will make any sense, until that its just empty talking.

Well, I disagree. Seeing Lou unleash a fury of combinations on Holy's mug early-on, even buckling his legs on occasion, has me convinced otherwise.
Golota would destroy Old Man Holyfield.

Lou isnt the only man to do that to Evander and there has been few who has been able to finish it when they start it, Golota is no different I mean again he did quit against Michael Grant.

In a fight he was dominating.
I love when everytime a Golota vs ????? comes up people predict Golota to get DQ'd or quit.
I think the crazy Golota of old is long gone along with the skill of the Golota of old.
It's to bad he finally became mentally stable years after his prime.

As I see it, you are dead on here. However, this fight is only interesting if the winner is promised a title shot.
