Mayweather KOing Hatton enhances his greatness any higher than it already was. He beat a fighter whose style translates terribly to an increase in weightclass - where it was proven against Collazo - whose mediocrity was proven by Mosley - who was later beaten by Cotto.
I'm not saying PBF isn't great. I'm saying this fight - ultimately - means nothing in terms of his greatness.

Yea.. beating a 43-0 fighter means nothing to a resume.. idiot. For starters.. Hatton blew away Castillo in 4.. Fair enough if he wasn't 'prime'.. but 'prime' Castillo is argued to have beaten Mayweather by some..

it does in that he beat a genuine hungry prime boxer albeit a lot smaller and less reach than him
He can only beat whats put infront of him though and he did that very well last night.

But it's already been proven that Hatton simply can't function at welterweight. He relies on on his strength to bully opponents and less on technical boxing ability/defense. It's a horrendous style to try and move up in weight with and he can't function effectively at welterweight. That's a fact.
PBF would have beaten him at 140lbs too, but the Hatton in there tonight was always going to struggle at the weight.

When Mayweather had a badly injured arm....
And Castillo got a SD against a novice fighter in the fight before the Hatton one. He wasn't just out of his prime - he was pretty much shot.

If you think that was a 100% hatton though you are highly mistaken he fought like a man without sleep
It was as good as Hatton will ever be at Welterweight...

Not arguing there - it was a superb performance during round 7 onwards.

The guy has it spot on. Collazo almost knocked out Hatton at Welterweight, and he was beaten by old Mosley who was beaten soundly by Cotto.
Hatton at welterweight is weak chinned, no staminia, no power. case closed.
