Those Mayweather right hand leads that were landing on Hatton made me cringe. I dont know if Cotto will be able to take those. But, I still expect Cotto to give him hell. But 'Money' will be the favorite, no doubt.

Would Mayweather find it as easy to land on Cotto as he did Hatton though?

yeah because we all know cotto lunges in with his hooks.

He would be in range more than Hatton was because of his slower footspeed.

Cotto would do much better than Hatton. He works his way inside behind a jab and doesn't leave himself as open as Hatton. Mayweather wouldn't be landing as many lead right hands on Cotto.

Im a big Cotto fan. Ive watched most if not all of his fights. And trust me, Cotto has problems with right hands. For some reason they always find their mark. Its going to be a tough fight if it happens.

not because of that but because Cotto is more patient then Hatton and stands in the middle of the ring more often, making it easier for Mayweather to pick his shots.
i still give Cotto a better chance at beating Floyd then Hatton had.

I think a Mayweather Cotto fight has the possibility of being like Leonard Hearns. After Cotto-Mosley we all know that Miguel isnt as one dimensional as we thought. He can actually box. I think he would put alot fo pressure but after eating leather from all those rights Floyd would throw, he have to box and change the tempo.

mayweathers left hook is better than miguels. they will trade lefts, and a repeat of what happened with hatton is going to happen to cotto. One reason why oscar did so good against mayweather was that he was continuely blocking floyds left hook. I was surprsied oscar did not get landed as often with that shot.

To avoid Mayweather's punches you need to hold your gloves close to your face, because his punches are too quick to evade with just head and leg movement (unless you are a defensive freak).
Anyone could see that Hatton was going to be catching everything that Mayweather threw becuase he was so open to punches. Fighters who applied the right strategy (DLH, Castillo) had much more success in avoiding Mayweather's punches and his potshotting was not nearly as effective.
Cotto does hold his hands up high and getting clean shots on him is a pretty difficult (though by no means impossible) task. This would serve him well against Mayweather (as would the facts that he is a much more accurate and powerful puncher than Hatton is, as well as a better boxer at mid and long range.)
The 2 problems for Cotto though are his chin and his lack of stamina.
He will be getting hit with lots of clean shots by Floyd, as everyone does, and I'm not sure he can take them. His chin has shown improvement since moving to 147 but I'm still not sold on it.
As for the stamina issue, PBF paces himself and turns up the heat in the last half of a fight. Cotto has shown signs of fading (e.g. against Mosley and Malignaggi) and that's bad news against Floyd. Even if he does well and say holds his own in the first 6 rounds, its difficult to see him having the stamina to up the ante in the last 6 to go with Floyd.
I'd expect an 8-4, 7-5 victory for Floyd, but the later the fight happens, probably the better for Cotto. Floyd is getting more and more hittable imo and his reflexes will die down as time goes on, making him more vulnerable.

Way easier!
Cotto is good but Floyd is great!
Judah rocked Cotto with an uppercut
Floyd will rock him all around! It might be worst than what just happened to Ricky!

Judah is a bigger puncher. You can't always go by that equation...
