What Style Do You Like?

Do you like boxers? Or Punchers? Maybe you like the complete fighter i.e. the boxer-puncher?

What style floats your boat? The knockout artist i.e. Tyson or the slick boxers like Ali?

I’ve always liked the complete fighter myself i.e. a fighter than can punch and box… e.g. fighters like Duran; Hopkins and Mayweather.

I’ve always disliked the Pacmans, Hattons and Calzaghes for the reason that their 1 dimensional… but in Calzaghe’s case I rate him as the best slugger who can box… but I do hate it when Calzaghe fans praise their man as a slick boxer… Calzaghe has only out boxed punchers i.e. Eubank; Lacy and Kessler.

I think that’s why I like Lennox so much… he had 2 dimensions to his game.

So what style floats your boat?

I like a fighter with both qualities -- great boxing ability, and the heart to go to the trenches when it's called for.

Lennox was flat out awesome. Nice bloke, too.

As for Calzaghe, he is no slugger! The guy is an absolute master of the ring. Re-watch the Lacy fight if you're in any doubt. The guy is far from one-dimensional, he has styles for days.
