Do you guys think this fight will happen, regardless of what Millie says? Or is Oscar looking for easy fights?

Oscar won't fight Cotto.

Hatton could bring more money and is an easier fight. Yes, Oscar will fight Hatton at Wembley.

I Dont Think Oscar Can Make 147, He Would Have To Cut An Arw Or A Leg Off!

Before I thought there was no way that Oscar would fight in England after being so used to Vegas, the casino site fees, the crowd support, sponsors, etc....

While I still have my doubts, I'm thinking it might more of a possibility due to the potential of Golden Snaggle Tooth Promotions having a big presence in the U.K.

De La Hoya will fight Cotto, he'll do good in the beginning. He'll hit Cotto with jabs and left hooks until about the 5 round. Than Cotto will start coming on, eventually hit Hoya with a left to the body which will put Hoya down.

This will set up a big fight between two of Golden boy's conquerors, which of course Golden Boy will promote and make a killing on. Who knows maybe in the future Cotto will even join Goldie's stable.

One thing that may prevent it is if Oscar's crossdressin' ass can't make weight..

Oscar would beat Cotto's ass! The reason being, Cotto is there to be hit.....and Oscar can hit! Cotto got tired of feeling Shanes punches and started backpeddling......Oscar won't be so kind to him.

And Shane would have had more oppurtunity had he known what a "jab" was.

He was at least active when fighting Mosley and Vargas.

"The Cotto Rounds" :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl Yeah ok! Mosley put that myth to rest! Cotto may have been fierce against Judah in the "Cotto Rounds", but Mosley was literally jogging after him during the "Cotto Rounds" and Cotto was doing the moonwalk :deal

Exactly. Oscar still has one of the best jabs in boxing....if he uses it.

Thats because Mosley is a hall of famer. For all the 'running' that Cotto was doing, he still managed to secure rounds 9 and 11. He gave up the 12th which he shouldnt have done ala DLH.

My point was just that he isn't the "monster" he was made out to be after Judah. He's a great fighter, but I doubt he will stop Delahoya late. Mosley did a good job of 'getting his respect', and Hoya will too. Alot is said about Oscar, but he isn't an easy fight for anyone, and if you can't either move out of the way, or eat some serious leather....he will fuck you up. :deal

I have heard from a friend whose father is a sport's attorney/representative that dlh and cotto will fight in may. The guy's legit, btw, he dealt with the hatton team for this fight, mayweather for baldomir, represented steve francis. my friend said it is basically cotto getting the publicity and $, then going on to fight mayweather.

If this happens, then I'll pray that Cotto beats De La Hoya.

Otherwise, it'll probably be Mayweather-De La Hoya 2.

De La Hoya has a hard time against slick speedy fighters like Whitaker, and PBF.

But against champions who were Brawlers, sluggers, and punchers he is 10-0.

I have been following De Lahoya for some time now. He has become less and less willing to take risk. His hand speed has diminished and he comes in looking heavy and slow for most fights. Thats age. Apparently age has taken a toll on De Lahoya. Maybe its fame. Maybe he has lost his will.

I know one thing, I have lost my will to see another Dela Hoya fight.

:rofl:rofl:rofl

DLH's last fights!

Mayweather P4P#1 at the time
Mayorga WBC Champ. Only lost to Tito and a contreversial loss to Stinks
Hopkins P4P#2 at the time
Sturm WBO Champ #1 Euro MW fighter at the time
Mosley More primed than when Mosley fought him
Vargas P4P#6 at the time

The clock continues to run on DLH.

In 6 more months Cotto will be even that much better.

DLH will have to get Cotto early, otherwise Cotto's "will to win"
will outlast Oscar's tiring problems.

Vargas wasn't ranked on the p4p rankings back Oscar beat him, at least not in The Ring.

I don't understand your description of Mosley.

Targeting Hatton who already lost to the guy who beat him and is a 140 lber is an eassier fight than fighting Cotto who is a regular 147 fighter.

Not to mention the height disparity. :yep

Well, Oscar has a rep of taking on the best all the time. If anyone deserves a break or two it's Oscar.

Wow, you're mad Mexican. Cotto would put DLH on his period, and disfigured his abdominals.

You are joking, right? Cotto would destroy old man DLH. The only tool DLH has at this late stage of his career, is between his legs!
