Im sure this post has been done a thousand times but fork me that guy has had a crazy life.
I never knew he had such an decorated kickboxing career, he has achieved a fair amount especially when you take into account his setbacks.
Did some pretty horrid things too from the sound of it, but he seems to be level headed about it all.
Hope he still has some left in the tank to get a world title.

i have read it twice and loved it - one of the best autobiographies of any genre IMO

Actually shiner, I have known people in my past who lived in the exact same world Briggs' writes about in his book, so I don't think it is that far-fetched to believe he is writing about true events.
It certainly rings very true to my ears, and I have never actually been a part of that life, I've just known people and met others through them who inhabit that world.

I knew both Nathan and Paul Briggs back then.....in 93 to 95' because I worked doors in the valley and I know some of the shit in that book is real for sure. I also know guys that know him alot more than I did and they know the book to be very true.

I don't get what you're saying.
I said he came back to fight as a pro boxer and have a shot at the world title evetually, after he could've ended up dead from his drug abuse, dealing, standover shit and just the fact he was very messed up.
If you follow the book, and Brigg's timeline of his life, he had his major boxing fight's AFTER all of the bad shit happened to him.
That's why I said he roes above it all.

Bugger, and he was so close vs Adamek twice!!
Maybe that was the writing on the wall for him though - he still managed to trouble Adamek even though he was affected by his illness.

Crap looks like I missed out on seeing Paul in his prime, I found boxing a little to late I think :rofl But then again we do have some great prospects at the moment which I'm sure Paul will watch closely :good
