A pity that Carrion isnt the youngest heavy anymore.He would have made a lot of noise if he had turned pro a couple of years earlier.He is still a very dangerous boxer,and Ustinov should be called the underdog against him IMO.
Carrion's only loss was against a German based Arab fighter was very controversially according to the news and ring observers.I only watched a short summary of that fight.
Anyway!Carrion vs Ustinov is a quite interesting fight.
By the way on the same fight card very decent German based Serbian heavy Goran Gogic will square off against African Cisse Salif.

German heavies Konstantin Airich and Steffen Kretschman will also appear on that fight card.

However,without a doubt the most fascinating fight of that fight card is Sergej Sorokin vs Ante Bilic.Great match!

I hope Carrion wins, Ustinov is a former K-1 fighter and i guess hes just verry big and strong but lacks skill and condition big time!! Carrion will outpoint him i say.

yes, i couldnt believe my eyes when i saw sorokin vs bilic!!

i mean bilic is a jr middle and sorokin is a jr welter.......so i first thought that someone made a mistake putting this up.

but then i saw that sorokin weighed 154 when he beat joel mayo and he also won the russian welter title.

and bilic weighted in at 148 for his last fight.........so the fight is plausible.

anyway, a real tough pick. at welter, i pick the hard punching sorokin by decision.

Goran Gogic is back! He won a point decision against Cisse Salif! Good victory for the likeable Serbian heavy.

Cuban Gamboa took out teak tough Chilean journeyman Joel Mayo in two rounds.Very impressive performance!

Sorokin won a point decision over Bilic.Should have been the main event of yesterday's fight card.

Shkraba is a feather fisted no-hoper who looks as pale as if he had shared a prison cell with a vampire for some months.Not only does he lack blood but he lacks skills as well.He is no test for no one!

Yeah, a shame the real fight fell through because of money. Carrion was a good amatuer so I was really looking forward to see him in the pro ranks.

I was looking forward to that particular fight,too.
Carrion was an excellent amateur.I came across him while waiting at a bus stop in Germany's capital not far away from the gym where he usually trains.
What a huge fellow he is! I am a big man,too.However,compared with him I probably look like a dwarf.
On that fight card Goran Gogic won his encounter with decent African journeyman Cisse Salif by unanimous point decision.
Gogic and Carrion had a very exciting and entertaining encounter.I for my part wouldnt mind watching another encounter between these two very capable and underrated heavies.
Both Gogic and Carrion would beat the shit out of protected American heavies like Malik Scott IMO.
