I'd say Shane Mosely also commands universal respect from boxing fans as his skills in the ring are equally matched by his demeanour out of it.

Shane Mosely, was, and is the fucking man. Willing to take fights, with fighters nobody wanted when he was on top. Have to love that about him. Always wanted to avenge his losses. Really wish there were more fighters like him.

To answer the real question...

Morales is respected by all because he is a true warrior. When a fighter takes on all challenges, stands toe to toe even when out-gunned, and never backs down, he gains universal respect.

Morales is a perfect example of a fighter who NO MATTER WHAT you think otherwise, you must respect him...
