What would you like to see him do?
Call me crazy but I dont really care to see him fight Mundine again. Its been done and Mundine is a bad styalistic matchup who Green will probably never beat.
Bring in some more overseasers. I think Green will get a lot of offers because there is $$$ to be made fighting Green at challenge.

I like Paul Briggs as a fight and I know one thing he will bring 1 million times more excitment than Mr Drews will ever bring.

Yeah fighting Briggsy would be a great fight and then there would be a deserving holder of the WBA belt, if anybody deserves it is Briggs who lost 2 close decisions against Adamek (a real champ) and has been through alot of things over the years.
I don't think it will happen, money talks so the Mundine fight will happen.
It would be good if he tried to fight guys like Dawson, erdei etc. but i'm sure Green knows just like everyone else does he stands no chance, plus he can make a mint fighting anything in perth.
Green got the winning lottery ticket tonight, he had to pay abit for it but now it's nothing but gold and 'world champ' hype.

anything that doesnt involve Mundine....
Mundine needs to move on from Green and Green needs to focus on his career and getting a big title shot and not on a Mundine Rematch...
I believe Mundine vs Green would do nothing for either of there careers.

Man drews had that same look as in briggs, scared after 1st round. I toatally enjoyed watching that, a bloke with limited skills won a world title off a guy who shouldve boxed his ears off.I liked the matchup with kickett what a step up but shouldve been a draw then rematch. Anyway congrats danny who cares if he was a paper champ and dannys no mayweather. An aussie bloke from perth just won a title not intrim.

Possibilities
Erdei - Green would beat him
Clinton Woods - Great fight, Green loses
Chad Dawson - Great fight, Green loses
Glen Johnson - Great fight, Green wins (Johnson shot)
Tarver - Given that Tarver is shot, Green has a good chance
BHop - RIP Green
Briggs - Aussie Superfight, Briggs KO
Adamek - Green will KO this guy. Too big for him.
Clinton Woods - Great fight, Green loses
Chad Dawson - Great fight, Green loses
Glen Johnson - Great fight, Green wins (Johnson shot)
Ulrich - Green murders him
Roy Jones - Green Vrs shot Roy Jones would be a great spectacle. Green KO's pathetic version of Roy in 6
Mundine - Boring Mundine UD
Calzaghe - RIP Green
Green should probably bring some B grade sluggers out here for a defence or two - people he can knock out and give the fans some action

I guess Universum didn't give the title away for nothing. They will have options. So I expect Erdei-Green in Germany next - a fight Green cannot win.

Is this because of the farcical scoring we should naturally expect of a Germany fight?

I was thinking that too. Would give Calzaghe a belt to take to the Hopkins fight, which would then become a unification.
Man, I cant imagine what Joe would do to Green. I think he would stop him.
But Green is not stupid enough to fight Calzaghe. I'm sure he wants to keep his title for a little while at least.

No way this would end up in Germany - Erdei isn't a draw at all. If they would fight each other it would be in Australia - anyway, I see Erdei schooling Green...
Ulrich vs. Green is a fight that would have a bigger chance ending up in Germany...one I would love to see. But first, Ulrich must beat his mandatory for his European championship...

Yeah, at home in Hungary - but it wouldn't matter even if they would fight in Green's backyard in Perth, he would lose a wide pts decision...

Ithink Money Talks So Green Will Defend Against An Easy Guy Then Fight Mundine In Perth This Time Green Will Get $5,000,000
Better This Option Than To Make Under $1,000,000 And Risk Defeat....he May As Well Take On Mundine Again...more Money Same Risk As Fighting Another Champ

Well, just for the record: Erdei fough in the US twice early in his career but those were just build up fights. All of his titlefights were held in either Germany or Hungary.
On the other hand I'm not so sure about the outcome of a possible Erdei - Green fight. Erdei has superior boxing skills that's true but the two Garay fights showed that one thing he doesn't like is constant pressure. Green would have a very decent chance against Erdei IMO.
Anyway I very much hope this fight will come through - the LHW division needs unifications badly.

Given that this is BHops division now, and possibly soon Calzaghes, I dont think either Green or Erdei are the ones to unify things.

How do you know that? He has been in the ring with some quite hard punchers (Lakatus for example) and has been hit flush but he always recovered instantly. His stamina is more questionable it failed him before but it seems ok lately and it turned out that his previous problems came from some nutrition issues.
Given that this is BHops division now, and possibly soon Calzaghes, I dont think either Green or Erdei are the ones to unify things.
Both B-Hop and Calzaghe are rather old and are there only for big money fights. They don't care about titles anymore. But if one of the titleholders could unify two or three of the belts he would have a much better chance of fighting one of the oldies.

Green - Erdei will happen. I think Erdei would take Green to school. We know the Hungarian has problems with pressure fighters, but Green is not too quick and Erdei has improved a lot since the 2 Garay fights.
Erdei by UD, 117-111. Green - Briggs would be more entertaining, but I am pretty sure that UBP had the special option in the Drews-Green contract, like they included it when Gonzalez fought the Tiger...
Erdei-Green is a big event in Germany as well.

I don't say Green would want, but I am sure that there's a clause in the Green-Drews contract that in case of Green's victory, Green's next fight will be organized by Universum. They did the same when Michalcewski fought Gonzalez...
Otherwise there was no reason for Universum to send Drews as obvious underdog to Australia and just give up their title. Why didn't they make a unification between Drews and Erdei then?... The outcome would have been "safer". The only explanation is that they included something like a "rematch clause" in that contract.
And now watch out for Green-Ulrich or Green-Erdei.....

what a woeful performance by Drews. To lose a title you had spent years trying to get by hardly throwing a punch will forever remain a mystery. I bet Green couldn't believe what was happening. Poor, outclassed Clavero at least had a go against Mundine. Was Drews planning to retire ( 34) and just wanted a payday without getting hit? That performance was so bad it makes you think so.

I don't think that Green will face Ullrich.
Everytime Ullrich faces a good boxer he gets outboxed (Erdei) and everytime he faces a good puncher/boxer puncher (Johnson, Adamek) he gets knocked out.
Universum can make decent money with Ullrich facing European B-level fighters, so why take any risks? Another defeat (which would be VERY likely against Green) would end his career.

Why would anyone want to fight in Germany?
MONEY. Why do you think Virgil Hill fought three times in Germany and is begging for another fight? In those three fights he made more money than in his other dozens of fights.
Or why do you think that Chris Byrd fought four times in Germany?

Mundine is a waste of time. I can't see Mundine going to 175 either.
There's so many decent fights at 175 - I think Briggs Green would be very entertaining, I would like to see the Tarver fight happen, though I doubt it will after the shonky way their fight disintergrated.

On the styles matchup of Green Mundine - Before the first fight - I would have said Green's style was perfect for Mundine.
After the 3rd round when Mundine realised Green was trying to box him rather than pressure him, he almost laughed in delight and dominated the rest of the fight.
If pre-Sullivan brain fry Green fought Mundine like he did Lucas - It would have been a very different fight. Danny bought the heat, til it fried his mind into thinking he could outbox the faster handed Mundine.
He should have been banging his shoulders, arms, sides: anything - Instead he crouched and froze in the spotlight in a terrible fight.
I'm very happy for Danny now though - Good performance.
He should go fight Clinton Woods in England and make some $$$
