Valero Calls Out Pacquiao And Co
Following his impressive 23rd stoppage win in as many fights against Zaid Zavaleta on Saturday(Dec 15) WBA super-featherweight king Edwin Valero is calling for a super fight.
Following his three round destruction of Zavaleta in Cancun, Mexico the 26 year-old wants to unify the titles and has targeted WBC king Juan Manuarl Marquez, WBO title holder Joan Guzman and world No.1 Manny Pacquiao: “Tonight was one of my best fights and I want to be recognized as one of the best,” said Valero.
"I’m a world champion and I want to go to the United States to prove that I’m the best. I want to meet any world champion or challenger.”
Valero is currently the biggest puncher in world boxing pound for pound, having stopped all of his 23 opponents-including an incredible 19 in the first round. However, whilst a superfight between the Venezuelan puncher and either Pacquiao or Marquez would be huge box office, any match-up would have to take place outside the lucrative US PPV market as Valero remains under medical suspension following an irregularity appearing on an MRI scan in 2004.

I wanna see this fight happen seriously... it would be a war..
Pac has a lot to lose taking this fight.. if Valero agrees to every one of Pac's terms (like have it fought in the Philipines perhaps, Pac taking a huge portion of the revenue, etc.), it could happen...

yeah and who was the last person to have 24 fights 24 ko's at his division?
A fighter like Hatton, Rafa Marquez or Vasquez can make at least 40 or 50 consecutive K.O.s if they'll be fighting the quality of opponents that Valero does. :yep :hi:

Pac man would run right through this nobody. Pac Man needs to fight Juan Diaz next. That is a super mega fight, with tons of action.

Valero has more than just a punchers chance against all of the champions. It's funny how despite only having 23 fights, people already want to put him in there with the elites. He's so strong he makes good fighters look average and average fighters look like trash.

Valero is a hype job.
If he wants to take on Pac, he has to fight a notable name first.

Irregardless of how he fights . . . he is still capable of winning 40 fights by K.O. if he is fighting "tuktuk drivers" like Valero, that's my point.

Valero looks crude just relying on his punch, when he steps up in class and has to go to plan b he is done. One he meets someone with speed who can slip a punch and counter he is done.

why not make it in Macau?
Why not make in in Vancouver? Vancouver is yearning for a Pac fight and it wouldn't collide with the US PPV plans.
But Valero needs to fight Guzman first - he would lose. I want to see Pac-Juan Diaz as long as Pac is still in his prime.
