This is their 2007 fight in the K1 max final event. (It wasn't 'the' final though)
Buakaw started well with the kicks but seemed to want to turn it into a boxing match, which is not his strongest point.

Masato outworked him and outfought him. Buakaw shouldn't have abandoned his bread and butter.

That is definatly a factor, but it is mostly because of the tournament setup, cant have guys fighting 3 long fights in one night.

The superfights used to be 5 rounds.

They've changed the rules in an attempt to make it more exciting. They also modified other things like no clinching to make it more fan friendly.
