Retire

I was going to put that option down, but what the hell

Retire is right

His best days are gone. Thought he was unlucky against Cotto, very close fight, but at his best he would have won easily. He will be remembered as a classy fighter and an even better guy

He risks tarring his legacy if he continues

I think he needs to avoid young hungry strong welters

i dunno hes one of my Fav. fighters an did a good job against cotto an i wouldnt have argued if he got the nod against him.... but i think he has what it takes to beat some good fighters out there like cintron maby margarito an PW.... but who knows the boxing bug is strong with that one

Maybe get a quick victory under his belt against either Margarito or Judah and then hope Floyd comes calling

I think that he could do better at 154 than 147. Only 1 guy at 154 can beat him

i say he fight judah and berto.. if he was to beat both of those fighters he might get another title shot.. but i dont see him beatin willams, or cintron, or cotto (although it was a good fight) or mayweather.. but if neither of those fighters then i'd say he needs to retire

He offered Shane the fight - but Shane didn't take it.

Remember after the Vargas fight - he wanted to take a vacation and he had a loose tooth.

WHY? He just fought the "hungriest" and one of the "strongest" in Cotto. Not only did he fight him to a practical stalemate, he proved that he was actually hungrier and stronger than him STILL. I love it, the guy loses a razor thin fight where he actually broke Cottos will and made him fight another fight in the "Cotto Rounds"....and in turn, Cotto is praised and Mosley should retire    You gotta love Boxing! :patsch

He should either rematch Cotto, fight Hatton or fight a tune up and then start a serious campaign to get Floyd in the ring. :deal

I wanted him against Margo but since it seems the Cali-based mexican is going for Judah, Shane should take Cintron's title and look for Williams right away... The problem is that Oscar already affected him that much and in all sorts of ways that he may not have the support from his own promotional group to get that big fight before May when Oscar is into his own thang and Bernard is also focused in another situation... He can always deal with DiBella for small money and feed on the unexperience of WBC number two contender Andre Berto while he waits for another title shot.

Mosely still has mileage. Possibly he could do better in a rematch with Cotto.
Shane would beat Cintron or Margarito. I'd like to see what he could do against Paul Williams. He's certainly more interesting than Winky Wright whos plodding on, so why not Shane?

How do you explain Mayweather bringing Mosley's name up in his post-fight interview without being prompted to do so by Merchant?

Exactly, Floyd considered fighting Shane since he beat Delahoya, Cotto's victory made Floyd vs Mosley less marketable. Floyd most likely gona fight at the end of 2008, Mosley still have time to get himself couple decent names under his belt. I think a rematch with Cotto is a must for Shane now, or if thats not possible he should aim at Williams and Cintron in order to get back in competition to fight Floyd.
