It was close with McClellan winning 3 rounds to 2. I don't know how well Jones took the punches. Never heard or seen him discuss it. But McClellan, and IceJohnScully can confirm this, said that Jones hit him so hard that he couldn't spar for weeks.

Gerald McClellan would have gone on to be the greatest ever but we all know what happened.
The man was just supernaturaly scary if he didn't get his illness he'd have destroyed anyone within 3 rounds at his peak.What illness?
