I didn't see the fight, but from the reports I've read, he put in a very poor performance. They even said that had he fought his intended opponent (Thysse) he probably would have lost. It's hard to imagine Paul fighting that poorly. I don't really want to make excuses but perhaps the rumours about him suffering a severe neck injury in sparring might have been true.
Apparently this happened and they wanted him to still fight on the card because he was a huge draw, so he changed his opponent.

I'd see how he goes in his next fight before you completely discard him.

kessler - fights anybody, even wrote lacy a letter, when ha had trouble getting calzaghe in the ring, wanting to unify..
He went for Beyer rather than Calzaghe or Lacy...who were regarded challenges. I like Kessler but don't lie like that.
