Hmmm, I's say Briggs with a 2nd round KO - he didn't seem to be gunshy against a bigger heavyweight in Lewis a long time a go, so he shouldn't have any problem getting after Fields.
This one genuinely could go either way though. If it goes past 4 rounds it might become a HORRIBLE fight.

Briggs loses by Asthma attack at the weigh in:lol:
Right at this point in time? Fucking hell..........Havent seen much of Fields, but all Briggs has left, to me, is his right hand, apart from that hes fucked, therefore Ill go with Fields, but Briggs has the equaliser

Not really sure. If Briggs can land square, he KTFO's Fields. If he can't, then Fields overwhelms him all night long. Fields is there to be hit, so I say if Briggs comes in about 20 lbs lighter than he did against Sultan, he wins it by brutal KO. If he gasses out by the end of the second round again, Fields destroys him. I don't think Briggs is willing to lose the weight though, because that would hurt his acting career. Fields by wide UD.

I think Fields has very good stamina (along with no technique) if he could stay away he could win a wide decision. Briggs has not been in shape for 2 straight title fights. What makes me think he has the dedication to face Fields? then again, Briggs could knock Fields into next year with that terrible defense.

Fields has some of the worst technique I've seen - although he looked better against the limited opposition he faced last night. Briggs, although no world-beater himself, is a class above Fields, and I think that would be the difference here.

I'm just not convinced about this Tye Fields yet. He has to show something against a better opponent first. I think that he is so vulnerable defensively that Briggs will probably stop him.

The only fair way to assess this matchup is by an objective comparison of human growth hormone use...
I vote draw.
Seriously, Fields has shown improvement, he looked good last year against capable Kendrick Releford, threw an incredible amount of punches for a big guy. It's possible he could outwork an aging Briggs at this point.

i think fields can pull this out just by moving and keeping the ultra slow briggs at bay.
fields by UD.

Briggs would lay out this fraud in the first round, half of Briggs KO's come in the first round. Fields is joke of a heavyweight, the only thing that impresses me about him is his stamina. I think the only chance he has of beating Briggs, is to try extend the fight as much as he can and avoid Briggs heavy punch.

briggs only throws five punches per round: four lazy jabs and one powerpunch that usually misses so the chances for fields winning on points are quite good.

I see The Cannon doing an Abraham Okine on Fields.

Problem is that Briggs has been far too heavy recently.
Wheras if there's one thing Fields can do well, it's throw a lot of punches.
So I could see Fields outworking Briggs for the decision victory at this point in time. Briggs is semi-, if not totally retired now anyway.

Briggs KO
Fields is too stationary. Although he has a good workrate, he will not be able to avoid Shannon's early attack. I think Field's lack of athleticism, technical skill, and speed would be the difference. He's still not on the same level as Briggs.
However, if he could make it past round 6, he would have a good chance to simply outwork Shannon down the stretch.

I see Briggs landing his huge right hand or that powerful Left Hook of his early in the first round.
Briggs by brutal KO in 1

Honestly I havent watched much at all of Briggs.I've just heard horrible things and watched Ibragimov hand him his ass on a platter. On that note i havent seen but a few rounds of Fields and I think he is the better of the two. He shows alot of promise and has a good attitude so best of luck to him. And the body shot he put on the fat kid last nite was pretty incredible...He made him cry for christsakes...and I cried with laughter at the grimacing:lol:

Fields trows a lot of punches compared to Briggs... I think Briggs gets seriously winded after 3 rounds. If Fields is still there he either wins by KO (because Briggs is gassed) or UD on points.
