I wonder what the "Edison Black Maria Studio" was all about. Kinda creepy, as in U.S. coal mining country during the era, the Black Maria (pron. muh-rye-uh) was a carriage drawn by two black horses and draped with black bunting. After a mine accident, if the Black Maria stopped in front of your house it meant your loved one was dead.
