Ain't anywhere in Swansea anywhere big enough to stage this fight, except the Liberty Stadium which it isn't going to be as (a) it's the first week in March and theres no roof and (b) Swansea are playing at home that day.

Speed, power and experience all appear to be in Haye's favour. Even weight-drained, I expect Haye's superior class to be immediately evident. Whether his left hand is low or not, I still think it will be Haye who is able to land at will, and Enzo just won't be sturdy enough to take them. Without the time on his hands to do what he wants, I think Enzo will be shown up to be somewhat mediocre.

Who has Enzo knocked out to demonstrate this 'massive power'? Haye has demonstrated massive power. Enzo's career record shows reasonable power, without knocking out anyone particularly notable. He has a superior knockout % to Mormeck, for example, but then Mormeck has campaigned in notably higher class, so it wouldn't be a suprise if the two were actually fairly equivalent.

Talk about bend over backwards to make the fight with Maccarinelli. Maintaining his training, clearly indicates Haye wants the fight.
However, before all the people say Haye will not have to boil down to make weight because he kept in training since Nov 10, I point out that Haye weighed 213lbs on the night against Mormeck, a gain of 13lbs in what, 24hrs?
I reckon Haye will win & in spectacular fashion. In terms of talent, ability, Maccarinelli is not in the same league as Haye. Haye has also fought the sterner opponents.
Again, Haye will have to boil down to make weight, again, he'll only be 70% of what he can possibly be, but that will be enough in my view.
When Haye wins, he can ride off up to HW. Massive respect to Haye for taking the fight, because let's face it, Maccarinelli needs Haye, not the other way around!

Apparently haye was saying that if he fights at cruiserweight he his in the gym all year round for this fight. This should be his last fight at Cruiserweight and then he should go up. I think it will seven rounds with both fighters being on the canvas and the haye will knock him out.

ANY WAY THE REAL WINNERS HERE ARE US , THE PAYING PUBLC AND I SUSPECT WERE IN FOR A REAL BARN BURNER!! BIG MACC TO WIN BY TKO ROUND 7. HAYE IS THE BETTER BOXER TECHNICALLY BUT I BELIEVE HE WILL BE TO WEIGHTDRAINED TO TAKE ONE OF ENZOS LEFT HOOKS. UNLESS HE MANAGES TO AVOID ONE WHICH I DOUBT HE WILL. Dumb fight for Haye, doesn't really have much to gain draining to cruiser again, he's not even making himself 'the man' if he beats Enzo anyway, to do that he'd look to beat the winner of Huck vs Cunningham. Haye should just get on with his career at heavyweight, let Enzo come to him if he wants the fight that badly.

I hope this fight goes ahead, but before you all get too excited remember that ****** has a nasty habit of announcing fights before they are actually finalised. He's been doing this for years. Also, he doesn't yet have a venue which is slighty odd, as ****** normally will have venues booked and then make the fights to stage at those venues. The reason for this is that many of the top venues are booked up(on a Saturday night) many months in advance eg pop concerts etc. I hope I'm wrong, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if I'm right

This is why Haye is so easy to like. Everyone would have understood if he didn't want to boil down to 200 again but he is happy to make the sacrifices it takes to give the fans the fight they want. C'mon the Hayemaker.

My thoughts exactly.
Credit to Haye for making this fight happen - he could have just taken an easy voluntary defence before stepping up to heavyweight.
Have lost respect for Maccarinelli over the past few months so hope he can redeem himself in the build up to this fight - will do well to remember it is Haye giving him the opportunity to win all the belts at cruiserweight.

I'm interested to see what the T&C's are in the contract. Wonder if Fwank was willing to make Haye a huge offer or whether he relied on Haye's willingness to make the fight?
In answer to your other question, given that it appears to be promoted by ****** it'll be on Setanta.

Can only speculate that the terms and conditions must have been more favourable to Haye than previously.
Maccarinelli was quoted about Haye "finally putting pen to paper" - think his reluctance in the past had been due to rumours about unreasonable demands!
Jimbo, it was another poster who asked about where the fight will be shown but you are quite right - Setanta have it exclusively.

Hard fight to call, some here are assuming Haye wins easy because he beat Mormeck who was there for the taking and was average anyway and underrate Macca because of resume.
Haye hasn't shown head movement to slip under a jab since he beat Gurov either.

How can you say Mormeck was 'average' and 'there for the taking'? I can guarantee you weren't saying those things BEFORE Haye knocked him out. Mormeck was clearly the best cruiser on the planet and had the perfect style to give Haye major problems.
On one hand you're saying Mormeck was 'average', and then you're saying Maccarinelli proved himself as the new Lennox Lewis because of the way he beat Wayne Braithwaite. How can that work? Did you ever see Mormeck batter Braithwaite around the ring and drop him? If anyone was there for the taking it was Braithwaite. The guy was semi-retired when Enzo got to him. He was happy to just to take his paycheck and return to Guyana to live it up a little bit.
Maccarinelli is much more suited to Haye, style-wise. Tall, upright, horrible defence, weak chin. Enzo's dangerous going forwards - he throws every shot in the book well - but he can't fight going backwards and has NO DEFENCE. If Mark Hobson could punch a little bit we wouldn't even be talking about Haye vs. Maccarinelli.

I was saying Haye would beat Mormeck as long as the weight didn't effect him. Newbies can;t guarantee what I said If they've only just joined here. The only problems he caused was hitting Haye on the chin.
I said Mac looked like a cruiser version of Lennox Lewis the way he outboxed Braithwaite keeping on the jab and then when close opened up with uppercuts. How can what work? He did look simular to Lewis to me.
Mac beat Braithwaite much easier than Mormeck did. Mormeck was there for taking, anyone who struggles with O'Neil Bell was going to lose eventually and his stamina was terrible In both Bell fights.
Enzo didn't knocked down by a Super Middleweight so who's got the weaker chin exactly? Enzo stayed up against Braithwaite well enough so his durability ain;t that bad. Haye hasn't shown the head movement he had against Gurov to slip under the jabs like he did against Gurov.
What horrible defence? Enzo's ability has Improved alot under Calzaghe and Is using his height and reach to his advantage more and keeps a tighter defence.
Your assuming Haye will win because he beat Mormeck, don't even use paper or resume to judge this fight.

What has the word 'newbie' got to do with anything? I don't even know what ones of those is. Talk about running out of things to say.
Also, if you think Enzo beat Braithwaite more impressively than Mormeck did you've obviously, like I expected, never seen Mormeck vs. Braithwaite. Unlike Enzo, Mormeck was never rocked in that fight. He won every single round, dropped a prime, unbeaten and ambitious Braithwaite and mixed it up between brawling and boxing.
The Braithwaite that fought Mormeck was entirely different from the Braithwaite that fought Maccarinelli.
Oh yeah, and Maccarinelli's never looked like Lennox Lewis. He's good...but let's not flat out lie. Lennox could move his head a littl bit.

Advantages to Haye
1) Haye is Bigger than Enzo
2) Haye is a bigger puncher
3) Haye is Stronger than Enzo
4) Haye is faster than Enzo
5) Haye takes body shots better than Enzo
6) Haye is better on the backfoot
7) Hayes toughtest fight was Mormeck (KO 7), Enzos was Braithwaite (UD12)
8) Hayes loss was to former World Champ Carl Thompson , Enzos was to Lee Swaby a Journeyman.
9) Haye has never been Knocked Out, only stopped, Enzo got knocked out by Swaby
10) Haye has a better Amateur pedigree
11) Haye is better on the ropes
Advantages to Enzo
1) He keeps his hands up
2) He will get perfect treatment on the night, Haye won't (remember Woods vs Johnson)
3) He has Enzo Calzaghe
4) Ezno makes the weight fine, Haye struggles, Haye will be at 60-70%
this is why i think Haye will win.
Reason why this will be an amazing fight
Two Heavyweight Punchers, with Light Heavy Speed, Middleweight Chins, and Featherweight Hearts. Both to hit the canvas, but Haye to win within 8 Rounds.

The newbie point was you saying you guaranteed that I didn't say how bad Mormeck was before the fight yet I was saying Haye would win all along as Mormeck struggles with taller fighters and was looking awful against Bell and Bell was lucky to be a champ. It seemed you wern't around long enough on here to see what I was saying.
Mac won every round against Braithwaite too and Is much fitter than Mormeck.
How I'm I flat out lying? I said Macca looked like Lewis the way he worked off the jab and had those uppercuts. His style was simular In my opinion. It Is opinion which Is not lying.
