quick translation: I consider Miguel Cotto the best p4p fighter, witrhout a doubt. When Cotto was at 140, he fought the best...Mayweather was there too, but didn't fight the best. He never wanted to fight Mosley. Miguel at 147 beat Mosley and Judah...at 140 he fought Malignaggi, who's an excellent boxer and current world Champion...Ricardo Torres who is also a current world Champ.:yep
Come on Floyd boys...let's hear it.

yup but he not ...
He didn't fight floyd at 140 because he was not ready .. so how can that make him p4p??
beside stewart is kissing allot of Arum ass lately, its funny that he does not put his own fighter in the mix.
How can he be the P4p best? Arum turned him Floyd down. And Hatton stated he wasn't ready for Floyd yet.
Cotto is not the #1 P4P fighter.

Manny hates Floyd, so no surprise there.

I agree - Manny tends to down play whatever Mayweather does.
He doesn't call him a Great Fighter - becuase he doesn't throw a lot of combination - so Manny considers him a Very Good Fighter. But when asked who's better than Mayweather at this point right now - he has no answer.
Manny is a Great Trainer and entitled to his opinion - but nothing he says is written in stone. If it was - Taylor would still be Undefeated.

wasn't margo more proven than cotto and hatton at the time?

Cotto is not the #1 P4P fighter.Floyd was the one claiming that he didn't want Cotto because he was too green...now he won't even mention Cotto's name without clinching his ass cheeks.
the question was, wasn't margo more proven?
also didn't he offer more money?
He offered a WBogus Title and No PPV revenue compared to Baldomir 8 Mil + PPV Rev.
to Young.
He did call Cotto too green after he was turned down.

AND YOU ARE THE P4P BEST DICK SUCKER IN THE WORLD

Cotto doesn't deserve to be called the best pound for pound fighter in the world, but he deserves to be top 4 or 5.
HOW MANY FIGHTS HAD BALDO LST BEFORE HIS FIGHT AGAINST PBF?
9 times. But he hadn't lost in 8 years and 19 fights unlike Margo who lost to Santos.

Not even close, he's got great power, nice pressure, but skillz wise, still has a way to go. Put him in with DLH or Floyd, he gets embarrassed
And In The Red Corner With A Proffesional Record Of 100-0-0 He Is Consider The Best Dick Sucker By Gay Magazine.
The Reigning , Defending And Undefeated Champion Of The World!!

pbf fought zab and the golden tranny(who has never won a big fight)
cotto beat mosley(better than de lahoya win) and beat zab(better than hatton win) people may think im crazy for saying than zab is better than hatton. but if both fight who would win?
i guess he is predictable like you say,but that only means he is even better everybody knows what he is going to do but everybody has failed to stop him.
cotto ud williams
COTTO TKO 9 MARGARITO
COTTO TKO 10 PBF
COTTO KO 6 ODLH
COTTO KO7 CINTRON

Miguel Cotto Was Drained For Making 140. Answer Me This Why Pbf Needs Some Time Off All Of The Sudden?
Oh now Cotto was drained :rofl but he fought there 4 MORE times after the Corley fight.
Why is Floyd taking time off?
Did you not see what Floyd has gone through with his body.
Floyd-Cotto needs to happen but Floyd deserves some time off to let his body heal. The Doctor even said if this continues he would need to retire soon.
BTW Wheres that clip of Floyd dancing around like Cotto after getting hit by Corley?

First, this is a slightly biased representation of who faced who. Mayweather can never be described as a ducker. Second, who you fight is not the only thing that matters for P4P. It's also how you perform, how comprehensively you beat your opponents. Floyd has just decisively beaten Hatton - a top 10 P4P fighter - not just winning, but winning by KO (Hatton has a good chin), and even outboxing Ricky on the inside, supposedly the Englishman's strong point.
Floyd has nothing to prove, he has beaten contenders and top dogs alike, he has moved up weights, he has an amazing record and really he has hardly ducked anyone. The only way he could do better would be to have an ATG in his weight category, and beat him; or to move up ludicrously in weight a la Sugar Ray Robinson going to light heavy, Fitzsimmons going to heavyweight, Duran going to middle etc.
So, all he has not done, is match the top 5 or 10 fighters P4P, but even then he is knocking on the door. To say that Cotto is close, let alone better, is just lunacy.

Let Cotto become a star and let PBF then lets have Floyd-Cotto end of 2008.
Then Cottos gets smashed you dissapear and make a new alias and Cotto always sucked and Floyd dodged Williams!

I agree Cotto should not be considered P4p number one....in my opinion he's top 5.
While I respect your opinion I also feel this statement is as false as it can get. DLH at this point in his career wants no part of an inside fight with Cotto we all saw that Cotto can box with the best and DLH has deprecitated in that department. I'm actually surprised at the fact that you mentioned in an earlier post that Cotto lacks in the skill department....he's actually one of the smartest well schooled fighters in the game today.
the question was, wasn't margo more proven?
also didn't he offer more money?
Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million.
now that sheds some light on the bull shit that floyd was ducking margartio and cotto..

PBFs natural class is 135 not 140. And Floyd actually fought back and won the round, he was stunned/buzzed for a moment at best unlike Cotto who couldn't barely stand up after being hit by Corley.

Right....kinda like when Frazier beat Ali, then Foreman destroyed Frazier, then Foreman beat Ali...oh wait.
Or how Junior Jones beat Barrera twice, then Morales beat Jones, and the Morales won the trilogy against Barrera....oh wait.
Or how Vargas beat Wright, the Trinidad beat Vargas, and the Trinidad beat Wright....oh wait.

This is 100% speculation because I don't know Steward or Mayweather..
But I know Floyd is from the same area that Kronk is sort of the center of in the boxing world. However, he obviously is not an Emanuel Steward fighter. Still, Floyd has often referenced they great trainers of Detroit who know lots of great old school things that Floyd does himself. Like using his shoulder for defense or yes I hate to say it, but Floyd's now infamous check left hook comment after the Hatton fight in his interview with Larry Martini-er I mean Merch
But anyway, I wonder if there isn't some kind of resentment on the part of Steward that Floyd didn't fight for Kronk, or maybe there is something between Steward and the elder Mayweather's, or the elder Mayweather's trainers.
Steward just always seems so down on Floyd.. he's even made some comments that just seem to make NO sense. He has several times referred to Floyd as just an amateur fighter (as in he fights like he's in the amateurs, just trying to land punches, not putting power behind his punches at all). And even when he has the best rounds of his career, like knocking down Corrales multiple times, or basically hitting Arturo Gatti with every punch he wants to, or other stuff like that, all Manny ever has to say is - "Good round for Floyd"
And in response to the "Why Baldomir instead of Margarito?" thing, is it really that confusing?
When Baldomir fought Floyd, he had just come off of two big victories. A stunning upset win to become the lineal welterweight champion, and then his first defense is a knockout! Admittedly it was against Arturo Gatti, who has literally been knocked out also by both Baldomir and Floyd's grandmother (long story, but I swear it happened, though I think the stoppage for Granny Mayweather WAS a bit premature, still!!), but it was still a good victory considering Baldomir wasn't a proven fighter.
Also Baldomir was a great story, the casual sports fan was able to get interested in him because of the whole Cinderella Man/Rags to Riches story associated with him.
Stylistically it was a more interesting matchup for the casual sports fan as well, Baldomir was just seen as a big guy, a big puncher, Mayweather was seen as the little guy, the boxer.
All of these things added up to PAY PER VIEW, and more exposure for Floyd. People say Floyd just fights for whichever fight pays him more, but theres more to it than that! Floyd fights for long term money as well.. He wants to become a mainstream sports star, a celebrity, etc etc, which he has done for the most part! Though Baldomir sort of back fired on him because it was a pretty boring fight, it was still the fight more likely (at the time) to do this.
Hell, to the casual sports fan, Margarito is still nothing but misspelled cocktail.
The saddest thing about all this, Manny is going to quote every post and make a reply.

Antonio Margarito, outboxed by Joshua Clottey till the latter broke his hand; outworked by Paul Williams; big, strong and tough guy yet flat-footed and relatively slow and fairly easy to hit; resume includes one quasi-significant win in the last two years against Kermit Cintron otherwise two quickies against C-class fighters, one loss and a comeback decision against an amputated Clottey.
I like Margarito but I fail to see what some of his fans see in him.

Cotto struggling to make 140?
Why didn't Cotto move up after that fight instead of CONTINUE to fight there for a year and half and 4 more fights.if you knew anything about boxing at that time, the 140 division was the deepest of all the weight classes...and you know that's true. So why not 140. Yes, he dehydrated himself to stay there, but it was the place to be at the time. :deal

Yea cause Cotto fought the top fighters at 140..

Many of them are now current World Champions or became World Champs after Cotto beat their asses. ...BTW who the fuck did PBF beat at 140...Bruseles, Gatti and Corley. Cotto beat Torres, Malignaggi, Corley, Bailey, Branco, N'Dou, Maussa, pinto and Abdullaev and beat them bad. Please don't compare what PBF record at 140 to Cotto. that would be just silly.

Emanuel Steward really does not like floyd Mayweather, the same way he didn't like Roy Jones Jr. or Bernard Hopkins.
He allows his hate to make him say stupid ass shit like this.

fighting at 140 was arums decision, arum even wanted cotto to go down to 135, cotto at 13 weighed 154.

is this the same manny steward that said kermit cintron would beat everyone at 147 including cotto?hes a joker he said he could of trained either klitschko to beat lewis.

Even though cotto beat al those fighters, he still was not ready for Floyd at 140.

quick translation: I consider Miguel Cotto the best p4p fighter, witrhout a doubt.
Why must you make use Cotto fans look like fools? Be realistic...

Not even close, he's got great power, nice pressure, but skillz wise, still has a way to go. Put him in with DLH or Floyd, he gets embarrassed
Cotto would beat De La Hoya in the same fashion as he did Mosley. Prime De La Hoya is a different story, but the De La Hoya of today wouldn't beat Cotto.
Hatton and PBF felt they had bigger fish to fry...but you have to admit, he fought alot of high risk low reward guys. Many of them are now current World Champions or became World Champs after Cotto beat their asses. ...BTW who the fuck did PBF beat at 140...Bruseles, Gatti and Corley. PBF moved up to go after the big fights. Cotto and Hatton the top guys of the division besides the semi retired Zoo.
Hatton wasen't ready and Arum turned Cotto down.
The only reason Floyd fought Brussles was a WBC eliminator for Gattis title since he couldn't get Cotto or Floyd.
The reason you can compare it is because Floyd got ducked at 140, how can you build a good resume when no one wants to fight you :deal
fighting at 140 was arums decision, arum even wanted cotto to go down to 135, cotto at 13 weighed 154.
Proof or it never happened
source?
Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million.
