View Full Version : Anyone up for seeing Haye-Mormeck IN FRANCE!?

Who would be up for it?
I am trying to get about 5 or 6 mates together. Jump on the Eurostar or some shit.
I'm cool with just the boys but it would be great if others went. Fucking own that place British style!
The French don't know how we invade! We take over their arena and Haye can take Mormecks title.
YES!

I think im going, although wont know for sure until Saturday. No chance of using the euro star though, it'd cost me more to get to London and park than it would to fly.

Taking a group of lads with you?
We need to unite like football hooligans and then storm the louvre (or wherever the fuck it is being held).
YES! Nothing like a good scrap between exciting operators.
I was worried after Hatton-Castillo. Khan-Limond and Calzaghe-Kessler don't tickle my taste buds when I think of CARNAGE!

I talked to 4 of my mates. We are thinking of driving over there. Get on the Eurostar and into France a few hours later.
Five of us did the same thing for Calzaghe-Manfredo. London to Cardiff, fight, get smashed etc We all loved it. So they want to step it up a level.
I'm hoping our time tables combine.

According to the French guys on this site it'll be a 4000 stadium with ringside seats costing about 100. Let's say you'll burn 100 on random shit. I had a look at eurotunnel.com and i got 2 nights, vehicle and passengers for 98quid.
So just for one person, call it 250 max each.

I am up for it and I think Doyley and Doggyland from BA are up for it and so is Stuey (who posts here and on BA). I might get my a couple of lads from Manc up for it too.
If we are all going we will def have to meet up. Last time I was in Paris we gave a cheeky frog a good shoeing, and this time we can watch Haye do a proper job, instead of my drunken shenanigans.:D:happy

I count 4 of you wanting to go, 5 including me. We each bring some lads and bosh thats 25 of us spreading around Paris like London fire.
I just watched Haye v Bonin and then Haye v Fragemoni. I'm not going to watch Abdoul again but tomorrow I will watch Johnasson and Gurov.
Haye has the moves now. He has it. If he can pull it all together he has the talent, tools and maybe the intangiables to win. Mormeck is going to come forward and I don't think he can take whats coming his way.

I felt frank******.tv gave me some cuntish responses like why don't i get a promoters license and try putting the fight on. I told them they are cocks because its a makeable fight. EVERYONE wanted it except one man - Mr W!
ITV failed to put the right pressure on and now we might not see the fight. I don't think Haye will stay at 200 after Mormeck. I can only see him staying for a Thompson rematch, which isn't that likely.
Macca is blatently going to go after Cunnigham next and the fight probably won't happen for years until the heavies.

I think nothing of The Ring belt, it is a trinket. Something pretty to talk about and put on the mantle piece. What matters to me is Haye makes REAL history and with just 20 fights to his name.
I love that he has a loss on his record. He is old school. A loss doesn't mean he is exposed. It doesn't mean he runs away and hide. It doesn't mean he takes easy opposition from now on. It means he lost, learnt and came back a MUCH better fighter.
Where the fuck is this fight being held, I need to start finding out about tickets etc!

I like MMA but like I said FUCK UFC, at least for the time being.
I just watched Haye v Johansson. I'm going back in his career. Seriously you can see a distinct improvement. I still think he is improving. Fragemoni and Bonin are his best performances. Now he needs to show us true greatness by beating Mormeck. Then he can embark on his heavyweight ambitions.

I went to Bell / Mormeck 2 in Paris and the venue was very small. I had ring side seats for that fight and to be honest, the view from the crappiest seats wouldn't have been too bad so I don't know if I would bother with ring side this time.
I paid £250 for eurostar and 2 nights so it is quite a cheap weekend away.

It's a tough one but it does make sense. You are going back to the argument that being the true heavyweight champ of the world is the greatest prize in sport.
With this in mind yes.
I want to see Haye spark Mormeck then spark the Brit/Commonwealth champ (Skelton) and then onto the true prize!

I set myself a budget each year for boxing and going on holiday.
At this moment in time, it is going crazy, £2000K+ spent in Vegas for Hatton and now we are looking at the following:
- Haye - Mormeck
- Hatton - Mayweather
- Haye - Mormeck
Out of the above, I think I will do Haye and Hatton.
BING IT ON!!!!
The crowd for Bell/Mormeck II was passionate. Being at Hatton/Castillo adn watching the TV re-runs and listening to the crowd I know the UK fans are far more passionate than ANY OTHER COUNTRY!!!! I therefore think UK could represent in Paris come fight night.

Mormeck is one of three men to be linear at 200 pounds. He has dominated his division to date. That automatically ranks him VERY high at cruiser. When I say KT, I mean, make the world sit up. Haye still is just a good fighter but he is in a group of about TEN at 200 pounds. A Mormeck win sets him apart from Huck, Enzo, Cunnigham etc
Sure you can tag along. Potentially looks like maybe 50 of us from ESB.

It seems a really stupid bit of scheduling to me. Putting it on at the same time and in the same city as England v Tonga in the Rugby World Cup is stupidity (not cos i'm arsed about watching the egg chasing) and must suck ticket and advertising £ out of the fighters pockets.
Wouldn't be surprised if they tweaked the date. My bro and me were going to go but we're not forking out the extra £ that hotel rooms and Eurotunnel will cost because of this stupid scheduling.

So your saying that the Eurotunnel will be more exoensive because of the England Rugby match? I didn't know it worked like that. Thought would just be like a normal train. I know it costs different amounts depending on the time of day. How much more is the train costing than a typical 'normal' price? Can anyone who has done the maths help out?

Cruiser is something like 20 years old, if not more. ONLY THREE MEN have been THE MAN! Two of them are around today. Two of them are in Hayes reach.
Haye can be the fourth person to be the man! He can be the first Brit to be a REAL cruiserweight champ.
A real lineal champ is always history making, especially when it is a real champ like Mormeck facing such a dangerous number 1 contender.

Any French people have any comments?
I have tried to find a web page or location of the arena/stadium but have been unable to do so. Has anyone found any information on the venue?
My Autoroute however states that Stade Marcel Cerdan is 92 miles from the Champs Elysees in a place called Reims. Is this correct?
I am so torn at the moment, I've been to France for Mormeck/O'Neil II and Vegas for Hatton/Castillo and I am only about to travel overseas for one more fight this year. The fight will be this one or Hatton/Mayweather so I am desperate for as much info ASAP so that I can work out which "holiday" will be the best.

erm..... just read on dan rafeals blog in the cruiserweight ranking page (Haye-6th? wtf!? Behind enzo too-FUCK OFF!!!)on ESPN and he mentions that the fight has been moved back to better fit the french tv schedulers or summin. Means the new date is November 10th apparently. Anyone herd this or can confirm?

I count 4 of you wanting to go, 5 including me. We each bring some lads and bosh thats 25 of us spreading around Paris like London fire.
I just watched Haye v Bonin and then Haye v Fragemoni. I'm not going to watch Abdoul again but tomorrow I will watch Johnasson and Gurov.
Haye has the moves now. He has it. If he can pull it all together he has the talent, tools and maybe the intangiables to win. Mormeck is going to come forward and I don't think he can take whats coming his way.
Fuck it, I'll come.

I'd be cheering for Haye. Christ, 2 weeks in England and I was practically a Brit.
