Let's get Manassa in here to debate that one.
I say Duran, he says otherwise. I think Duran was too well rounded and beter at pressuring and infighting, but Williams had a big punch, good boxing, and as has been said, was fierce as well. Good ass fight. Duran UD.
He already has, with me. He takes Williams based on his offensive firepower and malice, I take Duran based on his comparable offense and greater repertoire.

Duran by points decision. Williams gives him a good run for his money though. Not too sure Williams can match a prime Duran inside.

It would be fun to watch, but I wouldn't expect it to be anything like a toss-up. Duran is superior in two key areas that would neutralize the aggression and great punching of Ike -he is a defensive beauty and he is a counterpuncher par excellence.
Throw in the great chin and heavy hands of Duran and Ike looks to me like he is overmatched.

Ike had a chin as well, and punched at least as hard. His offensive game other than on the inside might be better, but Duran does have the better defense and inside game, but there is always Ike's power to worry about when pressuring him. I don't think Ike is overmatched at all, it depends on if Duran can implement his gameplan(I think so) without getting tagged with the big shots. Close ass fight and would be great to watch.
Ike's aggression is met and raised in Duran -whose style was memorably called "backalley baroque"... Duran combined offense and defense simultaneously like I've never seen in a puncher. He would crack a skull while slipping a punch at the same moment and then angle out with shots to the body.
Ike is ~#5 at LW in my opinion but I can't see him winning more than 4 rounds against #1 for many reasons. Williams is a great LW but it takes something different than what he brought to deal with Duran.

Duran is the greatest LW of all time, but if there is one guy who can possibly edge him here, it is Ike Williams. Like Duran, he was mean as hell, was a fearsome puncher, and posessed an awesome skill set.
Duran has the edge on the inside, but I think Williams will hold his own well enough. Ike on the other hand has a reach advantage (like Hearns did), but Duran was always a master at slipping and countering.
Whichever way it goes, this one is too damn good to end in a stoppage. A tossup in the truest sense.
