Melvin Manhoef vs Nishijima

Considering Nishijima`s MMA credentials this win although an exciting one is a very hollow one.Nishijima is starting to piss me off.This guy was a world class boxer!! I remember him defending some minor straps a few times but he was a very good boxer! Unfortunately his transisition to MMA has been dire.The poor guy got battered and then subbed with a Kimura by Baroni at PRIDE32 after being flung to the floor with the ease of a ragdoll, he also faced the Cyborg,Mark Hunt who he went toe to toe with! And Yoshida.These guys arent cans.There some of the best fighters in MMA!!!!

You would have thought this would have been a good bout for him as Melvin prefers to stand up but even Melvin secured the double leg again with stunning ease and pounded him into submission from the mount.Nishijima is on the wrong side of 30 if he doesnt want to end up like Sakuraba who can barely string a sentance together i hope he calls it a day.

Thanks for the link man, my God Manhoef has the most frightening punching power I have ever seen in a MMA LHW. I was flinching when he was firing those bombs before he took him down. He has a terrible chin, poor submission game, but the motherfucker CAN BANG! I'd love to see him vs Wanderlei.

I was flinching when he was firing those bombs before he took him down.Its fucking awesome isnt it.I cant get enough of Melvin the guys a fucking stud.His intensity coupled with his power is a scary combination for ANY LHW to defend.He owned a former boxing star on his feet with stunning ease. Whats quite interesting is his power doesnt translate at all to heavyweight.Iv seen some of his Muay Thai bouts at heavy and he was soft poorly conditioned and much slower with a mere extra 15lbs on him.His far more effective at 205 and under.

Sefo is also 240 pounds and Manhoef was in the 190's. Ray is kind of like a bigger version of Manhoef.

What you talking about?:huh Sefo hit him on the top of the head twice that really buckled him.It was hardly a stunning or scary KO.Even the count out was bullshit.Manhoef was on his feet by 9 but the ref still waved it off.Anyway on that night he was outweighed by at least 40 plus lbs.He gets props from me for taking on kickboxing ATG.

Melvin is dangerous for anyone. He will fight Peter Aerts in Amsterdam next year. Although he will be able to hit Peter because of Peter's fading reflexes, I expect Aerts to win on KO. In the 205 division in MMA he's great and he would KO Wand IMO.
