Why no Slovakians either?!? Seriously, it probably comes down to what they know best, and thats Football (soccer if your a yank), its just a fact that boxing is a minority sport in most countries nowadays, I have a feeling Basketball is big there too!

I've looked on boxrec & I have found some Lithuanian fighters so I'm assuming you mean why no well known, succesful, Lithuanian fighters?

Lithuania is a top basketball nation, considering its population its achievements in that sport are fantastic. My guess is that most athletically talented youth go into that sport.

i met many lithuanians living in east london working the markets as there are loads living in east london , even have about 3 lithuanian shops at maryland point .

put it this way, if they are typical of lithuania as a whole and turned out boxers then to find one below cruiserweight would be rare.

Actually, speaking of Slovakian fighters:

I see Slovakian cards on boxrec, and it seems that 80/90% of domestic fights there go to point decisions. Only the slightly better Slovak fighters get KO victories, and they eventually become journeyman in Germany or England anyway.

But anyway, all the points verdicts - why is this? I mean they can't ALL be naturally feather-fisted. So is it to do with their training/technique?

Very good question cause Lithuanians are as strong and as tough as they come. Possibly they have more of a wrestling body type? Mind set? Who knows?
