1. when do you guys turn your punches? i think i am doing it to early
2. when doing jab to body or cross to body are you only bending your legs?

some people turn right before impact. as long as its turned over before impact there shouldnt be a problem. and yes bend your knees.

the reason i was asking the turn over part is that i read some old boxer would twist his hand on contact in order to tear the skin and alot of old school guys would do this

Well... not only that but it also makes you lock the punch right at the last moment instead of starting to tighten it up way before impact and losing effectiveness.

Like you sasid earlier, if u turn toward he end of ur punch it could cut ur opponent...plus u will get more snap out of the punch.

And yes, bend your knees. You don't want to bend straight over with ur back because it will leave urself wide open.
