Would there be an immediate rematch? Probably not, since I can't remember two fighters fighting three times in a row. So who would each guy face next?
Taylor-Calzaghe? Or an easy payday?

Marquez and Vasquez are doing it 3 times in a row... If Pavlik loses he should do the honorable thing and vacate the WBC, WBO and Ring Magazine belts.... You cant call yourself the champ coming off a loss....

Well depending on how the figths turns out there might be a rematch, If Taylor wins I would set him up with Calzaghe or Kessler
It would be amazing if Taylor pulled off a win. It would be the best result as far as the sport is concerned, because then there would be an awesome trilogy in the making. Where the underdog in each of the first two fights scored the upset.
They would deserve a break, and maybe an easy fight afterwards if Taylor won this time around. Three grueling fights in a row can't be good for their health and career longevity.

Pavlik has to rematch Taylor at the higher weight in order to honor his contract. Hey, win or lose, if he came back down to 160 afterwards and was able to keep the belts and defeat all the fighters he faces, he deserves to keep the belts.

If Taylor wins they should have a rubber match. Pavlik gave him a rematch so it's only fair that Taylor does the same.

I think a 3fight series for the MW title would be great - if Taylor wins the rematch . The first one was good , imagine a ATG 3-fight series for the MW championship , very good that

Pavlik could be ALOT better than he is now.
He should get another trainer for this fight and learn better defense and gain some confidence in throwing his left hook.

If Taylor wins, he's a great fighter. I'm sure Pavlik will want an immediate rematch and we will be treated to a great trilogy.

I have a feeling this will be another war, another action-packed fight and if Taylor wins then of course we the fans would love to see them to it a third time. But at the same time I think it would be better if they would just carry on and fight some other opponents. Three wars and I wonder how much left they'll have after that?

this shit won't be a war taylor's confidence is shattered. kinda like a david reid.
i think he gets another loss and will be a name on resume after that. won't be an easy name to get but after this fight i guarentee you lacy vs taylor will happen before he fights a Kessler or JC

To be honest I think Taylor truly believes he can beat Pavlik. He's been in the ring with Pavlik and knows what he brings to the table. Like I said I see another action-packed fight that can go either way. I do favor Pavlik to win though, but "IF" Taylor wins it would be better for both of them to move on.

I think Pavlik wins even easier this time...but give Taylor his props; he fought his heart out last time. Went down a champion, not a quitter. AMAZING HOOK: someone else used your avatar once before. What a honey! Whoever she is....

They should fight other people and meet later down the line. You all are some impatient MOFOS. Who says they have to fight back to back to back....Nutjobs.

A lot of people would agree with you....but I don't know about "up and comer", most people know about him and his abilities. It's a shame he may never get to fight PBF....:?

yeah i mean to the an avid boxing fan hes past the point of up and coming....
i try to speak from the point of a fan who doesnt pay as much attention to boxing .. i guess the conventional fan
the conventional fan definitely does not know about paul williams....
and i have no idea how he stays at welterweight weight... but as long as he stays there im a happy camper...
and about this fight...
if jt wins theyll have to fight again because the only way jt is winning this fight is if he grinds it out.... who ever wins .. its going to be in dramatic fashion ... it would only be right to have a 2nd rematch that is if jt wins

If Taylor wins they should have a rubber match. Pavlik gave him a rematch so it's only fair that Taylor does the same.:thumbsup SPOT ON...If Taylor wins AND THAT IS A DOUBTFUL IF IT will most likely be on points, maybe controversial:huh which would automatically almost guarantee a rematch..
If Pavlik KO'S him again which i think he will that will elevate him to P4P status, and at only 26, make him a draw for years to come..:good

Taylor-Calzaghe? Or an easy payday?
The rubber match happens only if the second fight was exciting. If Taylor cleans up his act and uses all of his skills it could prove to be an thrilling fight and I am not sure of the outcome. Having said that, I think he won't do anything much different and the fight will most likely be a repeat of the first.

It's been my feeling that Jermain and Manny both underestimated Pavlik big time. It's also been my feeling that JT truly believes Pavlik just got lucky. If Taylor really does think Pavlik got lucky, he will come hard and fast, and try to recreate round 2. This time Pavlik won't get cute by dropping has hands and sticking his chin out. At this catchweight of 166 Taylor will fnd himself in the ring with a bigger, stronger Pavlik who has better legs and can take a better punch. This fight ends Pavlik TKO5 Taylor.

The only way Taylor wins is if he's still standing at the final bell, and HBO gets him another of those gift decisions.
He won't be standing very long. Pavlik KO 4

I would love to see Taylor win in a hotly contested fight... Bring on Taylor Pavlik 3 if that happens. Something like this would be great for both fighters.

Taylor wants to fight super middleweight after this fight.. He would be a great matchup for Calzaghe.. Does Calzaghe have the stones to fight him in the u.s.??

He wakes up after a long night of dreaming. Taylor does not have the discipline to box Pavlik. He will try and KO him. He tried to KO Pavlik with every punch in their last fight. This is what drained him. Thats when KP KO'ed him. Is Ozell going to change his style, unlikely?

It's in our best interest that Taylor does NOT win. In fact, Taylor shouldn't have demanded a rematch. If he didn't want to fight at the middleweight limit he should have just gone on to super middleweight because he has no future there and his career is essentially over as soon as he makes it to Calzaghe.
Instead, he is potentially screwing the middleweight title up because while I do think that he is capable of beating Pavlik, I don't think that he can be effective at 168.
