To those three gross oversimplifications I say :patsch, :patsch, and :patsch respectively.
There's plenty of business to attend to at 160. I don't think the risk/reward ratio is going to improve much for him going up. Let him a) step up and b) clean up in his own crowded division first.

He obviously knows that his body cant handle it anymore then.
Obviously everyone knows that 160 is a much more glamorous division, so the only reason that he would move up is because his body cant take it.

sorry mate, I forgot to type that in SarcasTI-C type-face...
Miranda wasnt able to knock him out and Kessler the guy who wasnt able to knock Mundine will knock Pavlik?
miranda is a very big punching middleweight, but he barely landed a punch. Kessler will land and alot of times, whos to say he couldnt get him out of there.
For example Rahman knocked out Lewis but Tua and Tyson didnt, who hit harder? :good
I give you this one:p but Miranda has hit Pavlik a couple of time really clean and powerful punch that will send a Jermain Taylor to the canvas lol
Taylor beats both Pavlik and Miranda...:tong
the supermiddle is going to be the best in boxing soon.

Come on now... Kelly Pavlik is an ok boxer, but where on earth do you come of saying he will clean house at SMW. That statement is too bold and unsubstanitated, but you are of course entitled as a fan to be that enthusiastic :p
Before making such statements I would like to see him actually fight at SMW.

He still could on another night.
how about this... winners out of Taylor vs Pavlik and Calzaghe vs Kessler face each other.
calzaghe wins both of those and a lt heavy bout vs, say, Dawson, that would be a spectacular last three fights...

Here we go again. Pavlik has said even before the miranda fight that he has a hard time making weight and needs to move up. Theres absolutely no doubt about it--after he beats taylors ass and finally shuts up some more non-believers he will then move up in weight. That has been his camps plan all along but he needed some leverage to be able to get the bigger fights and how better to have leverage than to beat taylors ass and become the champ--- then move up.

I like your 1st line, winner out of Taylor vs. Pavlik fights the winner of Calzaghe vs. Kessler, but the rest of your statement is pretty bold to say about a 35 year old light puncher vs. 3 possible power punchers.

How the fuck you think that?
Kessler couldn't knock out Andrade, and Kessler hit him with EVERYTHING he had.
Thing is, Pavlik actually throws punches when he comes foward. He doesn't just come straight in with his face foward not doing shit.
His workrate is in the 90s.

I didn't say he had a china chin.
But Kessler's power is overrated.
It's not in Pavlik's class. Kessler also has an incredibly limited arsenal comprised almost entirely of a 1-2.
I guess you're right though, Pavlik sucks, but if he's so garbage what will that mean for the rest of the division when he moves up and cleans up?
Then where will you be?
Besides, I forgot that Pavlik has a china chin too which is the real point.

Pavlik will clean nothing but his own crumpled face after the fights. Just because he swings wildly doesn't mean that Pavlik hits strong, does it?? Besides, even if he were to hit hard, given that he is relatively slow and telegraphs those punches from a mile away, he won't damage anything, but his own ego. Fortunately, though, he probabaly knows himself better than some of his fans do...I wish him all the best...

Swings wildly?
Have you ever even seen him fight? Where did you come up with this analysis?
Pavlik uses his jab extremelly effectively and has an ultra crisp, hard to see, STRAIGHT right hand that he's been using to annihilate opponents.
And when you jab as hard as Pavlik does, it blinds his opponents long enough to the point to where they don't see the right hand coming.
And his speed isn't so bad when Pavlik is landing crushing shots to his opponents bodies which is what he often does, but doesn't get much credit for.
And Pavlik hits hard. When you KO people that have never been down before when they're standing up, and have just KOed a guy that many thought was a solid fighter and would beat him, and have a 90% KO percentage on top of that, I think it's safe to say he hits pretty fuckin hard.
Wouldn't you agree?
What is Kessler going to do when he gets in the ring with someone that can actually fight? Sure Andrade had heart, but that's about it. Beyer was terrified of him.
Just wait. You'll find out eventually because Kessler will look like one hell of a coward when Pavlik says that he will fly to Denmark to fight this everyday belt holder.
Anyway, I got to go.

#1 You're right, Calzaghe's had trouble with flat footed power punchers before, that boy Lacy gave him nightmares after all.
Honestly, if you think Joe's going to stand straight in front of the guy then you have no idea about boxing. He'll respect Pavlik's power and be showing him the kind of angles he showed Lacy. Pavlik's never been in with anybody even remotely comparable in style and skill to Calzaghe at MW, let alone at SMW. Calzaghe is no Miranda.
#2 Pavlik's hardly renowned for his inside game either; he works behind the jab too for the most part. Kessler's slicker than Pavlik, a better mover and harder to hit. He's also comfortable at SMW while Pavlik's moving up. I can see Kessler controlling him all night.
#3 Haven't seen enough of Bute to comment really.

Makes sense. He'd be undefeated at that weight, he's beaten the number one contender and then he'd have beaten the man. Given his size he probably doesn't want to keep killing himself to make weight. Plus the big fights are then at 168 in the Kessler/Calzaghe winner. They'd love to face the winner of PAvlik/Taylor. Both would be undefeated, it would spell BIG MONEY!

Pavlik to move 168 after Taylor fight!!!!!
Why? Is the guy having difficulties making the weight?
If yes, then it's a logical move. Pavlik might be stronger and may perform better if he is not weight drained.
If NO, stupid career move. He needs to establish himself first in his present weight class. If he beats Taylor . . . fight a unification so that if he decides to go up in weight later on, he'll have a better credential in the negotiating table against the big names at the SMW.
