And how long did it take for you to get this far?
Honestly, please.
I can do about 25-27 before muscle failure kicks in and I need a short rest. This isn't great, but given that a year ago, I couldnt best 2 ( no lie), I'm hoping that a year from now, I will be knocking out 100-150 before tiring.

About 35, the tri's and chest have VERY little endurance, mostly explosive. As for front delts, they could go all day.

30.
40 is the most I've ever done. Pitiful I know.
When I was doing a lot of push ups I was up to around 60 or 70. But I gave them up when my shoulder was hurting and now I'm around 35. :(

At least 40. Maybe more, but that's about how long it takes me to think "I'm too heavy for this." ;)

100 is the most I've ever done. If I totally stop and never do push ups then I can bang out about 25. For example, I haven't done push ups for about 6 weeks now but I could bang out 25 now.

I usually do 4 sets on 50 consecutive. I think i can do a bit more than that if i was to find out. I think i could edge out 60.

I used to do about 60 in one go, when I did pushups regulary, last time I tried it went down to 40.
And amy those numbers looks amazing, my ex barely did 4 of those and I thought she was in decent form, I didnt think girls can push that far.:good

Was doing 100 throughout the day when I was doing a lot of bodyweight training. Now I did 60 yesterday, but I get back to 100 very quickly.

Well at my gym the rule is if you are late you have to do 100 push ups before you can join everyone else. So for a while there I was doing 100 a day before training...not including the ones we did in training. :patsch

:yikes I guess you learn not to be late after few additionl hundreds. I remember when my bball couch penalized us with 30 pushups for swearing, I could barely shoot at the basket after few "nahuj" :dead

I like pushups.
I used to do so many when I was in officer's training school.
Now I can probably do 40.

Fully-rested I can do 50 in one set. If I get off-track for awhile and do them after I haven't done them in a while, I can still usually bang out about 30-35. One of my goals fro 2008 is to be able to do 100 in one set.

I agree. And I'm not trying to be all condescending like "wow that's good for a girl" (besides, you can do more than me), because I know a lot of girls who can't do them at all.

62 In A Minute
OO.. That reminds me of my amateur wrestling coach who said that he avaraged 2.3 pushups in a minute in some army drill where they had to do as much pushups in a minute that hey can. I was like are you fucking shitting me. He was a HW too btw :D. But he is russians and they train like machines.

Back when i used to them alot, which was 3-4 months ago, I'd probably be able to do 100-120. My fastest was 94 in one minute.
Now, I'd say i could do 75-80ish, although i've been on the weights quite alot recently
I'll give it a go next time im at boxing
Wow, I just realized that I haven't done pushups in about a year.
The most legit ones I've done while counting is roughly 60. Usually I bench press a lot of repetitions of very light weight instead, but I think pushups would probably work out a few other muscles that bench pressing doesn't. Anyway, I am more of a dips kind of guy.

Are you doing them straight straight through, or take a break every 10?
Back in PE in highschool I was doing them straight through and would collapse at around 25. I noticed this other dude doing them and he did like a 2 second pause after every 10. I started to do it that way and it will help you last a great deal longer. Also when you get towards the end near failure, taking a few seconds pause will help you get out a few more.

record is 124.
I think I would do at least 80 now.
I do sets of 50 when I do them.
It would take you long to build up the numbers. If you do lots of sets to failure.

Dude talking about benching with lower reps and pushups.
Pushups are very good for your shoulders compared to the bench press.
A lot of shoulder problems brought on from bad benching go away with pushups, shrugs, some crazy unrelated shit.
