Enzo Calzaghe interview about haye-macca

i know trainers always talk up their fighters but there seems to be absolutely no respect shown to haye in that interview. he's just an "average" fighter who "is not as fast as maccarinelli".

also, haye has never fought anyone like enzo but macca has fought plenty like haye! and mormeck was not the number 1 cruiserweight and never was!

this is coming from the same team who were building up sellers as a "monster puncher".

Lol, exactly! what was David doing when Enzo was cementing his position as number one in the division? To quote Enzo 'its the fighter who makes the belt'. Gunn looked the real deal, unlike Mormeck, which is why Haye would never fight the former WBE & IBA Cruiserweight 'Champion' Gunn.

What Enzo Calzaghe seems to miss is that the IBF title is not even on the fucking line, Cunnigham has that even though in reality it should have been won from Mormeck if it were not down to politics.

Your boy is fighting for the WBC and WBA titles mate and not the IBF, and no the WBU is not a part of anyones "undisputed" category.

How can he say those belts mean nothing, did he say that to Joe when he fought for the exact same belts agaisnt Kessler.

Haye does have flaws, he leaves his left hand low and is chinny, and due to the weight is not throwing so many punches and doesnt fight at a fast pace. But he is is still to good for Macceranelli.

The proof is there, his son is the best fighter in the UK and possibly the best the UK has ever produced. Also P4P number 2 in a lot of peoples rankings.

He's also turned Enzo Mac into a much better fighter than before he joined with him, Gavin Rees is another World Champ in the stable so that aint no bullshit.

Take into account that he doesn't even come from a boxing background and basically taught himself and it's even more remarkable.

Maybe he's not actually as big an arse as he comes across in interviews, after all his son always seems pretty laid back and good-natured.

His stable is overrated. Calzaghe, obviously is the UK's best fighter. But who else is there? Enzo is a paper champ, he fought for a shit vacated title against a bum. Enzo C has improved his skills though...

Rees is shit, and is probably the weakest ABC champ in boxing. Bradley Pryce is ok, but only at domestic level.

Take out JC, and his stable is nothing special. He is a good trainer though, but Brendan Ingle is far better.

Haye is going to spark Maccarinelli. Haye is on a different level in terms of skills, is faster than Maccarinelli & has fought tougher opposition.

Apart from Braithwaite, who has Maccarinelli fought? Mark Hobson gave Maccarinelli a tough encounter in their first fight. Ok, so he Enzo won by KO1 in the rematch, but Haye is on a completely different level to anyone Enzo has ever boxed.

No one expects the bout to last long, but I would not be surprised to see Haye win by KO in the first.
