Having been boxing since the age of 7 and having sparred guys like Danny Jacobs, I think it's safe to say that I know a thing or two about the sweet science.

Here's my top 10 "Truths" and "Jokes" in the sport.

Truths:

1.) Floyd Mayweather Jr. - Simply the best
2.) Zab Judah - Good friend of mine, could win another title at 147 or 154
3.) Winky Wright - I've met Winky a few times. He has a good jab
4.) Jermain Taylor - A gentleman. Very athletic
5.) Kendall Holt - Robbed against Torres; future champion at 140
6.) "Mean" Joe Greene - My boy from BK; future undisputed middleweight champion
7.) Paul Williams - Destroyed Margarito
8.) Edison Miranda - Reborn at 168 - Calzaghe and Pavlik better watch out
9.) Joan Guzman - Little Tyson
10.) Paul Malignaggi - Met him and his girlfriend ringside at the Gatti fight; I think his girlfriend had a thing for me - she was looking at me like she wanted a piece

Jokes:

1.) Ricky Hatton - Simply a bum
2.) Amir Khan - Chinless prospect who will eventually get starched
3.) Kelly Pavlik - Got a lucky break against Taylor; should have lost in the second round
4.) Joe Calzaghe - Never faced a live opponent and never fought outside of Europe
5.) Tito Trinidad - Got dominated by my boy Wink
6.) Miguel Cotto - Almost got starched by Corley and Torres; had to use low blows to beat my boy Zab
7.) Roy Jones Jr. - Given a standing month count by Glen Johnson
8.) Wladimir Klitschko - I don't like his accent
9.) Sultan Ibragimov - Looks like Barney Rubble
10.) John Duddy - This guy is terrible; hopefully I get to spar with him next time I'm at Gleason's so I show him who's the man of BK

Thoughts?

Truths:

1) Floyd Mayweather
2) Joe Calzaghe
3) Miguel Cotto
4) Kelly Pavlik
5) Juan Guzman
6) Paul Williams
7) Wlad Klitschko
8 ) Jermain Taylor

For someone that's been boxing since you were 7, you must still be 7 cuz you haven't learned shit.

Miranda is a one handed fighter that would easily be outboxed by someone like Calzaghe.

Taylor has all the athleticsm in the world, but he goes straight back and doesn't move when he's against the ropes.

Zab Judah? Are you f-en kiddin me? You ever heard of heart?

Tito and Roy are old.

Hatton fought the best fighter there is and had every disadvantage he possibly could just about.

Jury is still out on Amir Khan. He's young, but in a tough division.

I understand that, it is your opinion, mate. It's just that from time to time, you seem to use the fact you have boxed before and twist against us, because we have never boxed. I just don't think it will make you any more knowlefgable than us.

Colombia's Black minority comprises 36-40% of the national population, but is officially recognized at 26%. This means our population is about 11 million of the 42 million people in Colombia. This is the second largest population of African descent in Latin America, after Brazil.

Africans forcibly exported to Colombia and especially to the coastal areas of the country, share a common heritage and origin to their kin in other nations of the Americas. African slavery in Colombia began in the first decade of the sixteenth century. By the 1520's, Africans were steadily imported into Colombia to replace the rapidly declining Native American population. Africans were forced to work in gold mines, on sugar plantations, cattle ranches, and large haciendas. African labor has been, and continues to be, essential in all regions of Colombia. African workers pioneered the extraction of alluvial gold deposits and the growing of sugar cane in the states of Choco, Antioquia, Cauca, Valle and Narino in western Colombia

1. Agree
2. Don't agree. Maybe a paper title at best but he's done.
3. Agree
4. Disagree - Jermains a joke.
5. I havn't seen any of Holt.
6. Havn't seen him.
7. PW didn't destroy but he clearly beat the overrated Margo.
8. Agree somewhatish. We'll see if the weight drain did hurt him a bit. Although I still think Pavlik beats him at 168.
9. Joan Guzman, the skills with no power.
10. She was looking at you cause she couldn't believe they let someone like you in public.

Thoughts?

1. Hatton is not a bum
2. Havn't seen Amir
3. Pavlik deserved the win. Steve Smoger made the RIGHT choice.
4. Joe is with the truth.
5. Tito sucks. Agree
6. Cotto is a cheater and hasn't fought a live body since moving to WW. And the only other live body he fought was Torres and that was becuase Torres took the fight on short notice.
7. Roy jones hit his head on the canvas don't hate about that shit
8. Wladimir is the truth at HW.
9. Sultan :tired
10. Duddy - Haven't seen him.

So RZA, only thing I really want to know is, do you consider a prime Roy a joke? Or just this old, shot version still trying to make noise?Prime Roy Jones was the most magnificent boxer I've ever seen live.

The joke resides in the fact that some people still think that Jones right now is anything close to elite.

Ive sparred and dropped OLYMPIANS, not Olympic hopefuls. I fought Lennox Lewis in the amateurs and lost by only 7 points. I fought Riddick Bowe in the amateurs and was stopped in the 3rd. And Ive sparred world champions training for big fights.

I'm just giving my opinion. Other people are giving me an attitude that I did nothing to deserve. Some people just get jealous when confronted with someone who actually boxed before.

Jermain Taylor is also a boxer, a former undisputed champion at 160 - still he doesn't know much about the history of the sport as a whole, just re-watch "Countdown to Taylor - Pavlik" - he even admit it...I would go this far as others on this board, including myself, know more about historical background and fights as Taylor.

So even if you are a world-class boxer it does not mean that you know much about the backround of the sport (though, you will most certainly know more about how to fight, punching technique, strategy, training, nutrition and so on)

Joe is Elite. His skills alone warrant that title. But taking a deeper dive in his career you see where many feel he has taken the "EASY" Road. Being undefeated for 10 years and 20+ Fights as a pro is impressive but not as impressive as someone with 1 or 2 losses who actually have legitimate champions, contenders or up and comers on their resumes. Joe is Elite but hasn't tested his skills or talent AGAINST the elite.

Here's my top 10 "Truths" and "Jokes" in the sport.

Truths:

2.) Zab Judah - Good friend of mine, could win another title at 147 or 154

7.) Paul Williams - Destroyed Margarito

9.) Joan Guzman - Little Tyson

Jokes:

3.) Kelly Pavlik - Got a lucky break against Taylor; should have lost in the second round

6.) Miguel Cotto - Almost got starched by Corley and Torres; had to use low blows to beat my boy Zab

Thoughts?
thoughts:zab is done,no more chances,ever
williams-margarito ,not much of a beating if you ask me if it was he has no chance with anyone else
little tyson?
if he should have lost he would have!
if cotto didnt accidently low blow zab the beating would have lasted longer so thank cotto instead

Alright my Nizzle let me rephrase that.

You have some controversial views and you go along with a lot the responses that you incite. Boxing fans are passionate people and when you call one of their fighters a "Joke" u are bound to catch the raft of some of their responses.

I did not mean to come at you the way I did this afternoon, and you are entitlled to your opinion.

Can you at least admit that your list has some flaws and could probably be improved?

Good luck in school, and if you are 75% as good as you say you are boxing wise, then you might have a future in that as well. Dog try not to be so narrow minded I takes a bigger man to say I was wrong than to defend a point that is clearly not the case.

Thanks.

People, this is my opinion. Though I have much more experience with the sweet science than most of you, you guys still need to realize that everyone has an opinion and they should not be criticized for having a view different from that of yours.

Shut up cunt. You criticise people blatantly on this board. Most refer to you as 'the village ESB idiot". You used to be called 'Double Suited' and you sucked then too.

Wether it's true if you've boxed or not (I doubt it) you're still a dick who comes across as a keyboard toughguy. Who gives a fuck if you're from New York or know Zab Judah, the guy's a bum.:deal

Here's my top 10 "Truths" and "Jokes" in the sport.

Truths:

1.) Floyd Mayweather Jr. - Simply the best

Definitely. At this point in time.

2.) Zab Judah - Good friend of mine, could win another title at 147 or 154

'Could' is the key word. Not much chance, though.

3.) Winky Wright - I've met Winky a few times. He has a good jab

Could he pick you out of a line-up?

4.) Jermain Taylor - A gentleman. Very athletic

Most top boxers are very athletic.

5.) Kendall Holt - Robbed against Torres; future champion at 140

Robbed???

6.) "Mean" Joe Greene - My boy from BK; future undisputed middleweight champion

RZA - Future editor-in-chief of RING.

7.) Paul Williams - Destroyed Margarito

Destroyed? Edged !

8.) Edison Miranda - Reborn at 168 - Calzaghe and Pavlik better watch out

Reborn? Against Thee BANKS !!!

Cal and Pav are quaking in their boots (with laughter).

9.) Joan Guzman - Little Tyson

The similarities are striking. Wonder why I never noticed that before?

10.) Paul Malignaggi - Met him and his girlfriend ringside at the Gatti fight; I think his girlfriend had a thing for me - she was looking at me like she wanted a piece

Was she the babe with the black shades and the seein-eye dog?

Jokes:

1.) Ricky Hatton - Simply a bum

But a rich and successful bum.

2.) Amir Khan - Chinless prospect who will eventually get starched

Everyone does eventually ! ('cept for Joe and Rocky)

3.) Kelly Pavlik - Got a lucky break against Taylor; should have lost in the second round

He'll have his chance again, soon.

4.) Joe Calzaghe - Never faced a live opponent and never fought outside of Europe

Best 'joke' line so far. You're becoming hilarious.

5.) Tito Trinidad - Got dominated by my boy Wink

That's no joke. It happened !

6.) Miguel Cotto - Almost got starched by Corley and Torres; had to use low blows to beat my boy Zab

Almost. Almost. Almost... good excuses!

7.) Roy Jones Jr. - Given a standing month count by Glen Johnson

Now that's funny.

8.) Wladimir Klitschko - I don't like his accent

Maybe he could master Brooklynese. After all, you master bated.

9.) Sultan Ibragimov - Looks like Barney Rubble

Somewhat. Doesn't seem to hinder him much though. ( Barney was Bedrock champ.)

10.) John Duddy - This guy is terrible; hopefully I get to spar with him next time I'm at Gleason's so I show him who's the man of BK

I guess you won't be posting after that. RIP.

Truths:

1.) Floyd Mayweather Jr. - Simply the best

This is true of todays fighters at least.

2.) Zab Judah - Good friend of mine, could win another title at 147 or 154

I beleive you dropped something there, oh, it's Zab;s name. He COULD, but I doubt it.

3.) Winky Wright - I've met Winky a few times. He has a good jab

Winky still talks about that day with the reverence it deserves. But you're right, his jab is stunningly good.

4.) Jermain Taylor - A gentleman. Very athletic

He comes across that way. Indeed.

5.) Kendall Holt - Robbed against Torres; future champion at 140

It was a close fight - I agree

6.) "Mean" Joe Greene - My boy from BK; future undisputed middleweight champion

Are you like a pro NBA groupie? They're the only kinds of chicks I hear talk about people like this... He may well be, but I'd pick Pavlik over him right now.

7.) Paul Williams - Destroyed Margarito

"Destroyed" is a little bit of a stretch...I'd pick him over number 1 right now though.

8.) Edison Miranda - Reborn at 168 - Calzaghe and Pavlik better watch out

Zag's is on his way out and Pavlik isn't a 168 lbser yet - there's quite a few other guys to look out for - But I say Kessler owns him.

9.) Joan Guzman - Little Tyson

He is exciting.

10.) Paul Malignaggi - Met him and his girlfriend ringside at the Gatti fight; I think his girlfriend had a thing for me - she was looking at me like she wanted a piece

Is that cause you were eyeing Paulie off and she wants a threesome?

Jokes:

1.) Ricky Hatton - Simply a bum

That is a joke when the one loss on his record is to PBF. I guess if he's a bum then Zab is like a legless begging Gulf War vet or something?

2.) Amir Khan - Chinless prospect who will eventually get starched

That remains to be seen - He won prospect of the year on ESPN's boxing site by Dan Rafael - I'll take his analysis over yours...

3.) Kelly Pavlik - Got a lucky break against Taylor; should have lost in the second round

When he got up and allowed Jermain to gas himself? How evil, what a cheat. I mean, Taylor had been just so CONVINCING in his previous 5 fights with his dominant displays...

4.) Joe Calzaghe - Never faced a live opponent and never fought outside of Europe

A) Jeff Lacy and Mikkel Kesler very live, but point taken, weaker competition than many claim. Going to fight Hops in Vegas so good on him. I think he could beat B-Hops in a Philly gym right now.

5.) Tito Trinidad - Got dominated by my boy Wink

Sure did - But a joke? Short memory there dude - Plus the Hops dominated him far more impressivley, even calling the exact outcome before the fight. Still - Trinidad was an all time top 20 Welter...

6.) Miguel Cotto - Almost got starched by Corley and Torres; had to use low blows to beat my boy Zab

As opposed to Zab's sterling behaviour in the Mayweather fight...perhaps Miguel took notes?

7.) Roy Jones Jr. - Given a standing month count by Glen Johnson

I thought Jones was never getting up from that right.

8.) Wladimir Klitschko - I don't like his accent

Yeah, he has a weird voice...

9.) Sultan Ibragimov - Looks like Barney Rubble

Wow - That's the only point I thoroughly agree on...good one!

10.) John Duddy - This guy is terrible; hopefully I get to spar with him
next time I'm at Gleason's so I show him who's the man of BK

Post a youtube vid of that - I would love to see it.

Some of your points are acceptable, just shit that is widely accepted among all fight fans.

But alot of the stuff you said if just a biased opinion. If you think Kelly Pavlik got lucky against JT you must be Taylor's relative or something. And if you think Hatton is a bum after stopping Castillo, winning 43 straight professional bouts and having the sand to come up in weight to fight the p4p #1 fighter in the sport, you have to be biased.

You said you have been boxing since you were seven and that you dropped the champ in a sparring session. I think thats bullshit for the simple reason that if you had been in the ring that much you wouldnt talk so much shit about guys who work hard.

How is a guy who's only loss in 44 fights is to the p4p champ a bum?

You got no class, no respect. And if you have been involved in the sport like you said you have, you wouldnt act like such an asshole.

As far as I am concerned, anyone who steps through the ropes and laces up the gloves deserves some respect in my opinion, unless they are publically ungrateful to their fans and the people who helped them along the way.

Boxing takes guts, even to get in there and get your ass beat in 1 round takes guts. Even taking punches in a 3 round smoker takes guts in the amateurs.

Why do you think Police Athletic Leagues teach people to box, because it gives kids discipline. I know because thats how I started, a wild kid running around getting into trouble, they sent me down to the boxing gym and knocked me around a bit and I began to carry myself better. You obviously havent dropped the golden gloves champ or else you would be more open to other's opinions on the sport and have more respect for your fellow fighters and brothers in hand to hand combat.

7.) Roy Jones Jr. - Given a standing month count by Glen Johnson
8.) Wladimir Klitschko - I don't like his accent
9.) Sultan Ibragimov - Looks like Barney Rubble
10.) John Duddy - This guy is terrible; hopefully I get to spar with him next time I'm at Gleason's so I show him who's the man of BK

Cotto and Pavlik jokes? You can't be serious. Young, undefeated fighters that are always in exciting fights and give their all in the ring. They payed their dues and deserve their spots at the top, I got nothing but respect.

RZA, if you've been boxing since the age of 7 you must truely love the sport. I do too, and I wish you the best. My fighting was done years ago in smokers, clubs and church basements. I'm sure you're a much more skilled & polished boxer than I ever was, but don't take offense if I try to give you a few tips on the sweet science. Pavlik beat Taylor because his punches were straighter - every exchange he punched inside Taylor's hooks - he couldn't miss-he consistantly beat the quicker man to the punch and knocked his ass out. Same thing with Miranda. A straight line is the shortest distance. That's one of boxing's "TRUTHS"- you might want to keep it in mind for your next bout.
Another TRUTH is that Coto can fight! He's not a joke. So he got his bell seriously rung a few times. It happens. He's been tested, learned he can cope in a crisis, & you can see its just made him a more ring-wise fighter. He stayed calm, worked through it each time and kicked ass. Like Pavlik did, huh?
On the other hand when your pal Zab got clocked by old Kostya Tszue he started boogieing like Stephen Hawking on crack, threw a freakin stool & tried to choke a large man! Not cool. He also lost his composure when Mayweather started taking it to him. A professional would change tactics, try to cope, but Zab had no answers - just freaked out, blatently nut punched, rabbit punched & shamed himself again. He doesn't have the mental toughness to win a title at 140 or 147 from a solid boxer.TRUTH?
I agree Joe Calzaghe has been beating up humps & dirtbags for years. I think a champ should want to fight the best- he should have been chasing RJJ & Hopkins 6 or 7 years ago. But that doesn't mean he isn't a hell of a fighter. You couldn't prove anything by his competition, but Joe Louis also had his bum of the month club. And Louis could fight. Truth? Calzaghe looks harmless, kind of reminds me of Dustin Hoffman in Rainman. I noticed a bit of the warrior when he had such an easy time with tough Charles Brewer & I lost a few bucks when he demolished Byron Mitchel. He's not a joke, my man. The homely bastard is very strong, has stamina,a solid chin & scary fast hands. And a mean streak. You know Jeff Lacy is a beast & Calzaghe absolutely destroyed him! You must have missed that one. Someday we'll have a chat about Ricky Hatton; he's a pretty good little brawler.Stay safe in the ring. Pay attention and the guys at the gym will start calling you "professor".

How many of you have sparred and dropped a 5-time NYC Golden Gloves champion? Uh huh. I've forgotten more about boxing than most of you will ever know. And that's real talk.

My uncle happens to know Danny Jacobs. PM me your name, if you are too scared to post it, and we can reveal the truth here cant we?

I give Paulie props because in my opinion he is the best junior welterweight in the world who has one of the fastest hands in boxing today along with a tremendous will to win.

Oh no, another InTeRnEt WaRrIaH ALERT! ALERT!

Nailed it :good
