What happened to the Casamayor-Santa Cruz rematch???

Wasnt it ordered that there be a rematch due to the robbery in the fight? I hope there is a rematch and Santa cruz gets another shot. Its sad that this kids chance to make it big is just gonna be taken from him.

Casamayor and Katsidis are fighting instead. It would be a good idea to let Santa Cruz get a shot at the winner, but at the same time, a Diaz fight with the winner of Casamayor/Katsidis would be in high demand.

When Casamayor was announced as the winner of the bout I thought WTF is going on, that fight wasn't EVEN CLOSE, it was so Obvious that Santa Cruz was the winner. Why you did this thread? Now I'm mad just remembering all over again.

While I love the notion of Katsidis beating up Casamayor, Santa Cruz really should of got this fight instead, and hope he gets a shot at the winner.

WBC stated today that if Casamayor fights Katsidis, they will strip him of the WBC interim belt. Obviously, Sta Cruz deserves the rematch and typical Casamayor, he will do what he wants. Then he'll claim that he never knew he had to.

I don't think Casamayor cares if he gets stripped. If he beats Katsidis, he'll still be a mandatory for Diaz, just under a different belt.

What bothers me the most, is the fact that Casamayor gets to keep his Ring Belt and another pay day because of having the recognition as being the champion. Santa Cruz not only got screwed at being the Champion but also of the money he should be getting for higher profile fights.
