Looks to be about the same size as the 100 lb one I've got. Could be 80 though. Its hard to tell when you dunno how big the guy is.

I didn't say that I didn't know who it was-I'm not stupid, and it's written on his shorts anyway. I said I didn't know how big he was, or, more accurately, that I didn't know how his body was proportioned, so its hard to compare him to the bag.

how could you not know how big he was or how his body was proportioned?

Same here, 80 or so pounds....awesome work though.

I also don't know why he works only below his shoulder height. Does anyone with experience think it makes a difference for a intermediate guy (not him obviously) to work the bag below shoulder height only or should you work like a person, body and head?

he is using it for conditioning, i dont think he cares where he hits it as long as he hits it, he is passed the stage of 'keep your hands up and chin tucked in' he is using the bag as a tool for conditioning.

punching at eye level or above is for more than just keeping your hands up. conditions the shoulders to be stronger and build more. im sure its not a big deal to him but your losing a lot by not punching upward. especially at his height, hes a little guy. and yes it makes a difference, at any stage.

that is not a 200 lb bag... and what difference does it make? he's not even hitting it that hard, he is showcasing quick accurate combos not power punching

Relentless

actually he is throwing hard and fast and not focusing on technique, these combos are not 'accurate' at all, he is punching to condition himself not focus on his skills.

relentless i replied to your quote but it didnt work so fuck that. either way YES it does matter about the conditioning of your shoulders. obviously the pros have worked their shoulders more and can drop their hands and not punch high in training to work that but ultimately the basics are what give you longevity. without them be ready to check out the lights, from your back.

relentless, he didn't miss a single punch, what makes you think he is inaccurate on the heavybag?

Relentless
07-16-2007, 06:32 PM
not accurate as in he is not following technique, he is punching where ever when ever, he isn't caring he is going all out.
